3/30 stats
The good news is that the Italy/France/Spain cluster continues to improve. The bad news is everywhere else. But if we are looking to I/F/S as a lens to see what our future is, not a bad day.
In the IFS cluster, daily deaths dropped 3%. The average of the last three days is +1%.
Italy and Spain combined had deaths fall 8% Tu over Monday. The 3 day average is -3%, which is good.
Italy's daily new case total has been in a band for 14 days. Spain 9. So we have to think that the curve is likely topping out in those two countries. France isn't there yet.
That's all good.
Lots of bad news though.
Global deaths up 15%. Which is inline with long term averages but much higher than we've seen in recent days.
The US is really bad - daily deaths up 63% in one day. The most deaths yesterday of any nation.
IFS fell below 50% of the world daily death toll for the first time.
The broadest measure I use, change in daily deaths over 5 days, is actually at the lower (better) end. Which is good.
