Trump is constructing another country within the US, made in his own perverse image.
Amusing, but false.
This is not the work of Donald Trump but rather the result of years of changing demographics and attitudes towards a whole host of issues.
Trump is very likely mentally handicapped at this point and I'd be surprised if he could tie his shoes, let alone instigate a cultural paradigm shift of such magnitude in the US, but it's a lot easier to blame Trump because it excuses us from any action.
This is CORRECT!
Now, this doesn't absolve Trump of anything...he's still horrible. He's still corrupt and racist and ignorant and a narcissist. He's still a dictator wannabe, BUT we did get him based on a lot of factors...a perfect storm.
1) Democrats have let the working man (and woman) twist in the wind and are still being too elitist with all the free college talk.
2) A racist swing back after having Obama in office two terms in a row. Not JUST this. It is tough for a party to get the White House three terms in a row. They don't call it a "change election" for nothing.
3) An unlikable candidate in 2016 for the Democrats in Hillary.
4) Working class people and even many middle class people didn't recover from the Great Recession as much as those of us who are heavily invested in the stock market and have professional jobs.
5) A manic election performance by Trump in 2016 driven not by any great work ethic which he obviously doesn't have, but his insatiable need to be cheered.
Stupid and racist people continue to support Trump today, but it isn't JUST their fault that we have the worst President in our nation's history in the White House. Democrats share the blame for sure.
