to a lot of people - maybe more - Bernie is that devil.
The dems are a very big tent party...very hard to build a bridge. I mean bernie people are not cool with capitalism. Hard to get past that to traditional American politics. It's a fundamental break.
Somehow Obama built that bridge but it seems quaint now...like in pre-trump years when actual conservatives would get support from the people who became blue collar white trumpers.
It just seems that way now because the current discussions are within the party... there is always this feeling of split during the primaries. Remember the GOP in 2015 - what a nightmare. Keep in mind one overarching factor that serves as the biggest glue of all once the dust settles: every single Dem wants trump out badly. Once we have a nominee and focus is redirected at trump's report card he is going to get more heat than he can handle... between the fiscal recklessness, the blatant corruption, impeachment, warming up to dictators, revolving door in his administration, complete lack of morality, backstabbing of our government branches, patriots and war heros, poor judgment across the board, disrespect, childishness, and all out assault on our constitution, there is PLENTY of ammo... and I just names a few things.

Trump talked about draining the swamp and rooting out corruption, especially in the Ukraine. As we see, he's just granted clemency to a bunch of guys convicted of corruption. As news reports are now saying, he's "normalised corruption". That his poll ratings remain much the same shows that his supporters care no more about corruption than he does.
I'm sure he thought it would play out as a bipartisan move, lol. But to address your point, yes the tzees will continue supporting him 100%, but that poll does not speak to the desire for everyone else to see him gone.

If I were Mike, I would deliver a slap down of honesty on everyone. The most effective thing he can is to own his decisions, say that he believed they were right at the time given the information, and instead of apologizing he should just say he thinks the conversation is very important and he's willing to have it. He just needs to be frank.

The only reason to pardon these people is because he knows he is also corrupt and so he is setting a precedence for HIS pardon down the line...or, if he is lucky, complete ignoring of his own corruption, due to his attempt to normalize it.
Trumpers are one of two things.
1) JUST stupid.
2) Racist.
There are no other possibilities.
FP!
Welcome back. Hope all is well.
Is Barr going to make it to November as AG?
Can Trump find a replacement candidate even more subservient than Barr that could be confirmed?
Though, an AG doesn't have to be confirmed. One can be acting AG like Whitaker was in between Sessions and Barr.
Will any more generals resign before the election?

I have to think Barr is playing us...He's providing some cover to Rs in the senate, and hoping to prevent more leaks and resignations from the DOJ itself.
He's saying 'I am independent, I am!' when it's clear he's not. But anyone on the fence can say 'Barr is independent - you see how he is pushing back against Trump.'
remember how outraged Rs were when Bill C even spoke to the Obama AG? And now they are fully behind outright bullying of the DOJ and AG.
Another example of absurd Rs and how trump's secret sauce is being out in the open. If the press had broken a secret story of Trump telling DOJ what to do it would be a scandal. When he does it on twitter it;s just trump being trump.
Weird.
It's one guy taking cover behind the other.. agree Barr is completely untrustworthy. I guess tzees assess the situation based on trump's tweets. He will be good or bad if/when trump says so. I think he was just sheltering himself a bit from some incoming fire.

A bunch of new polls just updated the RCP PoPs, and guess what? Yes, Trump has hit another new all-time high! 46.0% now.

More importantly, the "disapprove number" is finally starting to drop as well and is now the lowest since his first month in office.

I'm so excited for a Bloomberg candidacy. The slogans just write themselves:
Democrats 2020: Vote Bloomberg because we will do anything to get rid of a corrupt racist rich New York guy....
Are you saying the media, other Fox, is in Trump’s pocket too? They’re covering for him?
agip wrote:

Bloomberg2020: He's slightly less overtly racist than the other guy!
Bloomberg2020: We don't care about your racism as long as you promise not to raise taxes on the rich!

because a large portion of americans don't know Bernie is a socialist. When they get that hammered into their skull by Rs, Bernie will lose millions of voters.
I very much doubt it. The more people learn about him the more his popularity goes up. If Democratic Socialism was going to hurt him we would have seen some evidence of that.
It's just more of agip's claims which go directly against the evidence.
