We here at LetsRun are witnessing the dawn of meta-trolling.
Anyways, since the Democrats have such weak candidates, who is everyone's #1 plausible dream pick? As in, who would you like to see run for the office the most?
My pick would be Mark Warner. He's smart as hell, relatively moderate but still solidly Democrat, in the right age range, and he's pretty popular in his home state of Virginia.
Mark Warner is a very good pick. I would be very happy with him as President...I mean as happy as I can reasonably be. I'm never giddy about a politician.
If he COULD be elected, my favorite would be Ted Lieu of California, but he was born in Taiwan and can not be elected. Lieu is very smart, degrees from Stanford and Georgetown (law degree) and served in the Air Force and is still in the reserves.
I actually like Pete Buttigieg, but this time around, he's too inexperienced. He's smart, has military background. If he serves as a US Senator or US Representative for a little while or even Governor (I am less impressed with a governorship), he would be perhaps my favorite down the line.
Swalwell didn't do too well this time, but I like him also.
In the current group running, I have to go with the smartest at the top, and for now that is Warren and then Harris in that order. I think Warren and Bernie are misguided with the free college for all, but I'm either on board or at least open to most of their other ideas including Medicare for All (just need more details about how that would work).

The specific charges haven’t been drawn up yet, one of the last steps.
Generally, they are: treason; emoluments; campaign-finance; tax evasion; obstruction of justice; abuse of power; bribery; and several lesser violations.
Hard to understand, I know...
Just say you were blowing smoke, flagpole.
You should at least keep what "jesseriley" says a tad believable. Gives you a better chance of people thinking he/she is a real poster (although, I think most people know it is you).
Speaking of blowing smoke, fat boy today said the key was for R’s to “fight harder” (for trump, of course).
Because plain old treason & witness intimidation aren’t getting the job done, boys.
Okay. I am officially denouncing my insane belief in a global scientific conspiracy. There. Now will you answer whether you think the Earth will continue warming until all life on the planet is killed or in the relatively near future the Earth will cool and "Global Warming" will become a think of the past?

Yeah, and Rigged didn't know that because he's a f*cking idiot.
Got any more fake Mrs. Clinton quotes to share, Rigged? Got any more short news stories you can't read and comprehend like you couldn't with the Katie Hill story? Not everyone is smart. Just accept that you are not a smart person, and maybe take up whittling or some other hobby for bogans. You can't post in here even just two short sentences without showing all of us how stupid you are, mate. This thread is beyond your intellect. You are also a little Sheila with no integrity as you can't admit when you are wrong, though I guess you would be doing that all day long if you finally did start to admit when you are wrong. Idiot wanker.

Rigged & the traitors pretend that trump cheating on his taxes is a victimless crime. You do realize he’s making us pay his taxes by cheating, right? The money to run the government has to come from us if it doesn’t come from him. You are aware of this?
You do know that 45% of Americans pay NEGATIVE federal income taxes? Of course you do. The money to run the government has to come from those of us who pay federal income taxes. Yet, 45% pay NOTHING in federal income taxes and even get money after they pay NOTHING. Should they not have to pony up at least a little?
Agree, rigged can’t read, but it’s up to us to explain it to him in a way that even the illiterate can figure out.
We’ve got to be creative...
So the climate crisis, that’s similar to Hell, only it’s not eternal, it would only take decades at our current rate to burn ourselves up so that cockroaches or something could take our place.
In charge of Hell is the Devil, sometimes called Devil-Don...

Actually no. AT our current rate it would take many, many centuries to burn ourselves up. The rise in the often-manipulated "recorded" Global Temps since 1880 is minimal. The Temps are even lower than in the Roman Ages and the Middle Ages. So at the current rate we might be enjoying the beautiful weather on the coasts for many centuries. Enjoy and don't fret!

Now that you adjusted your trolling we can engage a bit more. I think there is too much focus on degree changes and not enough on the direct impact to human health... there is clear evidence that the quality of our food, air and water are being negatively impacted by human-driven environmental changes. Unfortunately, the scientific community has gotten too ahead too quickly for americans to get on board. Mouth breathers are still arguing climate change is a hoax.
The best way to convince anyone is to scale the issue down to their individual level. Unfortunately, the wealthy nations are responsible for most of the damage yet they don't have to deal as directly with the consequences.. they can still outsource the damage enough to not feel the in-your-face impact. As a result, these scientific papers, and smaller impact they feel and the less visible and direct impacts are conveniently dismissed. It's much easier to sell the lie to americans, especially when the truth means they need to do much more than what they are doing now to reverse course. A good chunk of the "important" population will need to suffer much deeper consequences for the alarms to really go off. Until then, this is nothing but an easy target for Republicans to win votes.

Relax, Kiwi. I admit I was wrong about the staffer's title. However, that Congresswoman should be reprimanded by the House Ethics Committee and she has no business serving on the Vice Chair of the House Oversight Committee—tasked with impeachment. If she were a Republican this would be a huge scandal.
For sally, let’s see, Federal taxes would be like a piggy bank. Trump would be the fattest hog guarding little piggy.
The fat hog says to little piggy, “I’m going to let my favorite butcher in Moscow take care of you, because those guys love bacon even more than me...”

Not sure why you believe I also post as jesseriley. Our posting styles are very different. His are short and to the point (I have correctly labeled him the best pound for pound poster in this thread because of that). Mine are more conversational and sometimes go on pretty long because I type will over 100 words per minute, and before I know it I've entered a tome.

Very nice post, Trolliminator. The only thing I would currently like to add is that the United States has reduced their CO2 Emissions significantly in the last so many years (can't currently recall when their CO2 emissions started decreasing) . The country had done a great job but certainly more can be done. But at the same time, China's CO2 emissions in the last 20 years have tripled or maybe quadrupled by now and India's have skyrocketed as well. So those 2 countries are a big concern and something we have to address. I don't think either country is inclined currently to really reduce their emissions.
Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS) is a mental condition in which a person has been driven effectively insane due to their love of Donald Trump, to the point they will abandon all logic and reason.
Symptoms for this condition can be very diverse, ranging from racist or xenophobic outbursts to a complete disconnection from reality. TDS can also often result in the sufferer exhibiting violent, homicidal, or even genocidal desires, particularly against residents from foreign countries.
Sufferers have also been known to wish direct self-harm on themselves (such as increased tariffs, a desire for tax cuts heavily favoring corporations and the 1%, infringement of first amendment rights, and even the destruction of NATO for comrade Putin), provided that action was initiated by Donald Trump.
Paranoia is also a common symptom of TDS. Sufferers have been known to believe that they are in some way being persecuted when their Trump related beliefs are questioned, and in some cases believe they are about to be a victim of an immigrant related crime. The paranoia does however not seem to be bad enough to make TDS sufferers attempt to actually becoming informed and think for themselves.

You are really calling one who uses "idiot racist wanker" in each of his or her posts the best "pound-for-pound poster" here? Seriously? Also, no way Flagpole is Jesse because he would have forgotten which ID he was using and would have mistakenly called Rigged or me or Igy that when he posted as Flagpole. So, no. they are not the same.
