Trump is taking down the entire global economy all by himself.
The GOP is also responsible for refusing to put reigns in on their loose cannon. They have allowed him to behave like a dictator ... but the judges! ... but the tax gift to the rich! ... but the guns! The end result is obvious .... D I S A S T E R.
Trump's base gives him incredible power. They represent about two-thirds of Republican voters and it guarantees that he will win in the primaries. It also results in Republican politicians being afraid to criticize him because they want his endorsement in their own primaries.
In the general election, there are enough Republicans, outside of his base, that although they realize he is brutally incompetent, will still vote for him because of their distain for democrats, giving him a 50/50 chance of winning. The wild card will be if his mental state, which is getting worse, will reach critical mass.
If the economy tanks he will blame Powell and the media and if China agrees to some meaningless deal that doesn't change anything, Trump will call it the greatest in history even though he will have no clue what's in it.
Whenever Trump leaves office he will be ranked by historians as the worst president in history including being lapped by the second worst.
