Whadya think? And who might be some of the leading contenders for the title? It's hard to imagine someone going more than 7 days in a row. I think it would be someone like Centro who is one of the smoothest and most economical runners ever.

honestly a prime El Guerrouj could have done it probably for an entire year, if his training consisted of running just that mile per day and every single one @ 3:58 or 3:59.
Prime Bekele, that would almost be a 1x1mile @5k pace with 24 hours recovery. How many days in a row would you think someone could run 1 rep at just under 5k pace for?
It would be a lot more than 7 anyway
A prime Daniel Komen could have done it also. In addition to El G
exactly-- i could run an 8 min mile any day of the week. if they cant bad on them.
but in seriousness. Yes, i think I could hit my 5k pace everyday for a year, but im not in the best shape i could possibly be, so its different for them, you know
I don't think it'd be hard for someone who can actually break 4 somewhat comfortably. Runners have proven time after time that rests in between races are overrated
