I agree.
Focus on the positive, enabling people's dreams.
Open it up to freelance writers.
Focus the mission.
Better use of sub-forums: a 'Misc' section for all the NRR stuff and better organized & managed running related sub-forums
Perks for using a registered name: show join date, post count, some sort of reputation building system (like/dislike posts)
Ability to block posts and threads created by certain posters
Live chat room would be fun during races
YESi would donate $20 to have that Down goes the Dow thread removed forever. i can't believe people spend time on that

More coverage of run gum. flotrack videos. workout wednesday videos. coaching options for beermile. live chat option. my face. my own quote of the day. randa roussey coverage. running news. alan webb's return to stardom. kara goucher training and racing and not whinning. the guy that almost hit george bush with his shoe.
All these suggestions are fine and dandy, but if Rojo and Wejo don't read them, then what is the point.
Wejo/Rojo, any good takeaways yet from this thread?

What new things should we try and do? What should we do better? It's an open thread.
Thanks to all of you for making 2016 a great year for us.
Hire a woman as co-editor and forum moderator.
What, can't take all the masculine energy in here?
Seriously, this could be a decent idea. Every club and bar knows that the more women you get in the door, the better it is for business.
Add my vote for preventing ads from overlapping the message board threads. Half of the stuff gets cut off by the stupid ads!
BOLDED SO COMMENT DOESNT GET LOST.
Don't change anything! I love the running discussions mixed in amongst the troll fest.

Nice...lol
I'd like more transparency regarding moderation policies. I realize there are judgment calls, but it would be nice if there were some articulated standards about what's okay and what's not.
I'd also like it if a lot more users had special subtitles like the "co-founder" that appears beneath your name. There are a lot of really legit people on here with registered names, but unless you're a regular, you might not know who they are.

More and more older runners (50s, 60s and even 70s) are running the races nowadays -- and some of us are actually running for the first time in our lives. Others have been running for decades.
For most of us, its a health thing -- use it or loose it. At our age, this is the way it is.
Anyway, I think alot of us would like to see a sub-forum that was dedicated to the older runner. Maybe you could include the 40-somethings in that forum, just to increase interest in it.
I'm 61 and typical of this new group of older runners. Our concerns and our issues are different from younger runners. I think alot of older runners would like to have an area where we could discuss things of particular interest to the older runners.
More bun huggers threads.
A top 10 list of disqualified race cheaters (proven in the running community well beyond a reasonable doubt)
E.g. Rosie Ruiz, Kip Litton, mike Rossi, etc

Agreed, great idea. I would call it the LRC Wall of Infamy.
1. Rosie Ruiz
2. Kip Litton
3. Mike Rossi
4. Rob Young
5. Larry Macon
6. Parvaneh Moayedi
7. Stanley Cottrell, Jr
8. Dane Rauschenberg
9. Martin Franklin
10. ???
This.
Also, the Geezer sub-forum a few posts above is a sound suggestion.

Yep, this
Haven't read through all of the posts, but how about a "like" or vote up/down button? For training threads, it might provide some means of separating out good stuff from BS. ;-)
