Vanhoy at Ole Miss, I don't know him, but he is certainly forcing the rest of the SEC to either put more scholarships behind the distances in order to score points, or to give up trying all together in the 1500m and above.

Ummm... Arkansas
Ole Miss is beating up on Arkansas and everyone else in the SEC.

Maybe the men's side to some extent but not the women.
My point was with Ole Miss now being a relevant distance school scholarships will likely need to be spent to compete in SEC distance.
No the SEC is not a strong distance conference. Yes, Arkansas is a great distance squad. So with Ole Miss also operating at a higher level the new coaches at LSU/Florida will likely need some backing in order to be competitive (that is not to say Spangler/KD did not have scholarships...I don't know).

UT wants tonja to takeover. Better than dealing with Mario who out the program under so much scrutiny. I'd expect there to be a change in the program at seasons end.
What other candidates will emerge for LSU? The job paid khadevis base 75k. Plus bonuses, a free car, etc. The job is worth a lot more. Expect some high profile applicants looking for a sweet pay raise.
With the change at UCLA Forest Braden will be looking for a new job. Don't now if he would head that far East tho.
Angela Reckart was mentioned earlier in this thread as someone looking for a change. Has been at Penn State last two years and had lot of success there. Was at UNC before that.
Would both be good fits for Florida too if Spangler is actually out
San Fran posting for sprints coach. Travis Thompson no longer listed on website as staff.
Is the LSU job even posted anywhere? Or will it all be done behind closed doors?
Centrowitz to step down as American University HC

If any of these coaches like to recruit American distance talent that requires giving scholarship money to, then they will not fit at Lsu and would be very frustrated in that situation. They are only looking to recruit 400/800 talent or at the most sign a Kenyan or two that can be a workhorse for them.
I think Reckart likes her current situation at Penn State and wouldn't leave that to potentially go into a bad situation.

Flanagan's retirement is old news. Although, CC has been tight lipped as to who is going to replace him. I was told Flanagan will remain on as the distance coach "in retirement".
Also heard Chris Adams at Texas San Antonio could be on his way down south to UTRGV.
Adams to utrgv could make sense. Throws are where they had any relevant success. How can you be the head of your own program and your event group doesnt bring it. I hate reading head coach resumes where they take credit for other event group achievements.
Could JJ Clark return to Gatorland?????
Dominos start to fall.
UCLA, Texas, Florida, LSU will be interesting to watch.
Can we talk about this for a minute? South Carolina is long overdue for some new energy in all events, especially if they ever hope to be competitive in the SEC again.
Coach Frye is a legend. He and the AD have known each other since they both arrived at USC. They just built both indoor and outdoor facilities.
Coach Frye will tell USC when he wants to go.
Time and the game passes by even legends, Jeter did not play forever and Wooden did not coach forever. It's recognizing when that time is (or has already passed) that gets tricky.
