Penn has their woman as well. Announcement to come soon.
Hakon is talking over the men's program at Kentucky. Graham, stepping down to WM or American I'd assume.

Hmm.. Interesting wrote:Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't most of these "younger Assistants" you speak of have to start their career as a volunteer or GA?
Absolutely yes. But I would hope UNCC wouldn't hire a coach out of a recent GA ship or volunteering for a year or two. Plenty of younger coaches who have 5 to 10 years experience that would want an opportunity like this.
Not sure how contracts are slotted, but I imagine the Ole Miss coach has already re-signed his contract with Ole Miss, by this point.

What exactly has Vanhoy done to even be a head coach on the DI level? Not much! But for some reason his former teammates are in this board just hyping him up! He has no resume to be a DI head coach!
What this guy seems to be doing, is stepping into one good situation after another. He inherited Eric Jenkins at Northeastern who was already a sub 4 minute miler, then he inherited a slew of 4 minute milers at Ole Miss and poached a bunch of runners from other schools ( M J Erb, Craig Engels, Wesley Gallager, Ryan Walling and this took him to the NCAA XC championships. A lot of coaches are looking at this and don't appreciate it!!!

I don't think this is Chapel Hill's distance opening. I believe this is the opening at NC A&T since they are a part of the UNC system. The postings match up.
Any news about UC Santa Cruz? Was supposed to have a phone interview last week and they cancelled last minute but was supposed to be rescheduled for this week but have not heard back from them. Pay seems terrible and the situation pretty screwed up with how they let the former coach go. Maybe its better I don't hear back....
