10 month contracts are typical for college faculty; however, we don't have summer off just because it's 10 month contract. We still do work, like research, etc. It's a cost saving measure, plain and simple. We are salaried employees, so we do what we need to do to get the job done all year long. Benefits are a part of the package. Don't know why people are surprised by this concept.
Any reliable word on Auburn or William and Mary? Candidates?

I haven't seen the W&M position(s) posted yet. Any postings for W&M??
Not yet, but they are probably trying to decide before they officially post. They need to fill a head and an assistant (after Solinsky to UF and Henderson to Cornell).
Wow, Roger Cooke got screwed there. Unbelievable that they didn't leave him on as full time head coach. Terrible decision Hawks

Um news flash- the NCAA doesn't care. Administration on the other hand; yes.
I wouldn't say unbelievable by any means...
Who remembers the Long Beach Community College job, Any new updates with them? I remember the salary was crazy high.

1 - He had 1 year of paid coaching experience. It would not be fair to the athletes to hire such an inexperienced head coach.
2 - Stacie has a much better resume and did a great job at Assumption. It's not like Roger was more qualified.
Has anyone heard anything about Connecticut College?
No, where is it?

Wrong. The NCAA DOES care, and keeps very accurate numbers on how many women you have on staff, what positions they are in, as well as ALL the different races employed by an athletic department and their positions. As a matter a fact, there is an official document that is sent to the NCAA every year. Officially, it's "just to track" these numbers, unofficially, schools who are "not diverse enough" get "looked at" a little closer that other schools.

Connecticut.
head position at Western State in Colorado open. Chris Bradford accepts the Cal Poly Pamona job. Great move for him for personal life.
In regards to Rock Light, there isn't an article detailing that he was suspended from the championships, just coaches within the conference confirming to me that he was not allowed to attend because of previous conduct.
If you've looking for actual proof, see the fact that he no longer works at Adams......
