The VCM is an awesome race. I've done it several times. Fast course, awesome organization, good competition, and easy logistics in a beautiful place. Can't be beat.
God Bless Vermont

I do not know about Eugene but, for somome not used to hills, Vermont CM is tough. Especially if you go out too hard. It will be a really goood weekend but a tough race.
Is it that hilly?
Eugene marathon is kinda boring as well. If you're not from Eugene it might not be as bad, but for someone living here the marathon course seems pretty boring as it just runs along the river path. But definitely can be conducive to fast times though.
I am a F and have run sub 3:10 a couple times at Eugene with a 3:08 pr. Great fast, mostly flat course. There are a couple hills but not too long. I highly recommend it for a pr.
