By the way…Are you mad about the fact that LRC has nothing on the front page about the fantastic new record of Pete Kostelnick crossing the US in 42 days 8 hours and 34 minutes (or maybe 42 days 6 hours and 34 minutes), averaging 72+ miles per day and 505+ miles per week for 6 consecutive weeks in a row?
(I am mad about it.)
They are not yet aware of Pete's new fantastic ultra record.
I think the LRC people are biased agains ultra runners.
Do you have an opinion on this obvious LRC Anti-Ultra-Biasâ„¢?
I know the questions were directed to 'Go Pete' but I feel the need to reply.
I'm not mad about it and I have an opinion. This is LetsRun not LetsRunWalk&Sleep, this is one of the reasons the LR forum got so upset with the infamous Rob Young who was trying to promote himself as some super runner, we're LetsRun. So you're right on one thing: "LRC people are biased agains ultra" people and rightly so. They also not that interested in old fellas running (and I'm saying that as an old fella) and when they read this thread and see the quoted rant from 'SoCal Pete' on page 2, and posts from others, it doesn't help, just as Rob Young, etc doesn't help the ultra cause, makes a bit of a mockery of the whole thing.
