Futsum broke 28 and Cheserek destroyed him in NCAA's after being injured for some time. Plus his 13:18 was freshman year.

I suspect 27:00 or slightly better.

Eddie will not break 28.
Cheserek will run mid-27s this year in track. He will run low-28s this year in XC Champs.

Not mid 27s. He is capable of 27:05-27:10 in a well paced track 10K like cardinal invite.

Capable? Perhaps so. Like the poster you quoted, I just doubt he is actually going to TT one and go for it. He seems to be following the Farah approach for now, and while he could probably get the college records, unlike Farah/WRs, it doesn't seem to be a big deal for him.

Thank you! He could definitely go under 13:10 after 2 years since he ran 13:18... I would guess 13:05 which means he's in about 27:10 shape... I doubt he will run anywhere near that any time soon but he's definitely capable
This thread never mentioned him doing it; just that he's capable of it. And being capable of 27:10 makes you unbeatable at the NCAA level.

Unless Sam Chelanga is in the NCAA.
Not right now. No sense in talking about what shape he's in on the track right now cause nobody will know until it's actually track season (and we still might not even see the fast times he's capable of). Maybe he will be that fit in track season, but as someone else pointed out he's a complete race ftw kinda guy. I mean ya, he's run 3:36, 7:40 indoors and 13:18, but he didn't win any of those races and what he's best known for is winning.
At this point it doesn't seem like he cares enough about fast times to actually time trial and try to PR, as we just watched him basically tempo Pre-Nats. He's gotta just go for it and man up (and so does Farah!!!).
Cheserek may be 27 years 10 months old.
dude not even close, you guys forget how fast 27:10 is? sam chelenga and galen rupp hardly came close to that like years after their college days, plus ches isnt gonna smash any course records during xc, so what makes you think hes gonna be able to solo anything below 27:50?
I don't know buy maybe wrote:

+1
He's in 27:20-27:30 shape. I'm sure that his 5k is still better than his 10k due to lack of endurance.
