It's your typical "can I run through this injury" thread. I've been seeing a PT for a few weeks since struggling with some calf pain. He thinks it was a strain in my posterior tibialis muscle (not the tendon). I took some time off and in the pool and then started running, but it started hurting by my second run back.
It hurts on the medial side of my left calf kind of deep, about halfway between the ankle and knee. Strangely, it hurts on warmups and cooldowns, but I hardly notice it during workouts and races. Afterwards though, my left calf is much tighter and sore than my right side.
I'm aquajogging all of my cardio, but have been running the workouts, while continuing to get massages and stretches.
Is it okay to do this until the season is over in November and then take time off, or by running through this am I going to ruin myself for track and XC next year? Am I okay as long as I can run without changing my stride?
