Toronto has Geddy Lee sitting behind home plate and keeping score. That more than compensates for one bottle/can you tossing hoser.

don't forget this incident
I've found a great many similarities between Toronto and Chicago, except the Toronto fans have a much harder time handling their liquor during the sporting events.

Really? I thought the throw was pretty accurate.
Go to a football game in mostly any classless city on the east coast.
Don't they murder fans at ballgames in LA?
Nobody would throw a beer in Baltimore only because there is no one in the stands to throw it.
Anyone who thought Baltimore was going to win this head to head match-up with the Jays obviously doesn't follow baseball. Their ERA ranks the lowest of the 5 top teams in the AL. Their batting didn't show up in the clutch like the Jays.
The Jays are going to get stomped by the Rangers.
If all it takes is one fan throwing a bottle on the field to give a team the worst fans in baseball, then Toronto has a lot of competition - Phillies fans in particular. Like the Onion story "D Battery Elected To Philadelphia Sports Hall Of Fame" which has more than a bit of truth to it-

I've seen this type of behavior in all sports fan bases. I don't think there is any city that is innocent of this. Its what happens when you combine alcohol and irrational people. Playoffs make it worse.
Worse than the guy throwing the can was the entire section sitting around him allowing him to take off to avoid security. Instead of securing the a-hole for security, they stood there screaming at Jones and flipping him off.
This isn't a Toronto thing. This is a blue collar, get s*^t-faced before every game thing. Happens in every stadium in the country. Ever read Deadspin? That site may as well be called Drunk A-Holes at Sporting Events.
Toronto is simply the worst. Period.
I can't stand the Jays, Raptors and Leafs. Any time one of those teams makes the playoffs, it's the only thing that TSN covers for weeks on end.

My buddy was there and said the guy was ejected.
To deter fans from doing this in the future, they should announce the home team loses by default in the case of something being thrown on field AND a picture of the thrower gets put on the big screen.
It was a bad day for toronto and a majority of the fans were very upset with the idiot who threw the can.

This is without a doubt one of the stupidest ideas ever.

Say, how is Montreal these days?
And yeah, Toronto fans couldn't possibly understand baseball. I mean, they've only had a team for 40 years. Plus, no cable in the igloos so no way to watch it on television ever over the last 70 years.
PS, the whole state of Texas sucks because of Wejo's stupid comment. That seems proportional.

This is true, but some are worse than others. As a Canadian, I am frequently embarrassed by Blue Jays fans, not just at their home games but at away games, too. They seem worse to me. It is possible that they are not actually worse than other teams' fans, and I'm just more aware of it as I expect Canadians to act better and feel tarred by their actions.

I wouldn't know as I've never lived in Quebec and haven't been to Montreal since passing through the airport on the way to CIS about a decade ago.
Nice try, though.

Toronto Raptors fans were the biggest douchebags during the NBA playoffs last year too.

That explains why they won so many games 21-12.

If Toronto's hitting was so good in the clutch, why did it take 11 innings to get more than 2 runs?

Management asked the Jays to not to win the game until the 11th inning, so that they could sell more beer.

You cut off the part about posting the guys picture, the point being nobody would throw anything on the field. Problem solved.
The could always just sell beer in paper cups which is likely what will happen.
