saying "you too" instinctively when it's not appropriate.
Forget to pull out.
OK, I can't believe that no one has yet to say the obvious running thing: speeding up on your run when another runner is passing you. Of course, no one on the LRC boards would do that...

Example: why do so many people yell "TAXI!" when hailing a cab? They can't hear you!!!
Why do so many people still hail cabs? Uber is a much more cheap and convenient!

I was exiting a plane last month, the stewardess said, Hope you had a nice flight. I replied, You too, then shook my head in stupid disbelief as I walked up the jetway.

Little known fact - In most elevators the "close doors" button is not actually attached to anything. It is just there to placate the mindless masses who think they are reducing the waiting time for the elevator doors to close.
Of course rumours from LR have zero credibility, but even if this were true, "most" makes it justified to press the button if you're in a hurry.

Upon exiting a sandwich shop with my food, I once threw my change in one of those Salvation Army donation buckets. When the woman ringing the bell said "enjoy your sandwich," I responded with an emphatic "you too!"
I think I was expecting her to say "enjoy your day." Luckily, she did not try to eat my sandwich, despite my apparent offer.

. . . look for people looking at their watch. I then go up to them and ask them the time. Almost 100% will look at their watch again.

Your mouth gets nasty because it dries out over night. The point of brushing your teeth in the morning is to get rid of the morning breath that forms as a result. While you're awake, your mouth stays wet and you don't really need to clean it.
I don't like my breakfast to taste of mint whatever it is.
You obviously have never enjoyed Girl Scout cookies at sunrise.

People do this because the button doesn't offer any response that confirms that it has been pushed and the signal has been received. The button can be pushed in a good half inch, but you don't know at what point you've actually pushed it far enough to activate the signal because there's no response from the button.
Some of the newer pedestrian buttons in my town beep and light up once you've pushed them. I don't see people pushing these new ones multiple times.
