in defense of crossfitters (jesus, can't believe I wrote that) these guys aren't exactly that athletic to begin with.
i had a to take a fitness running class my freshman year of college and the professor was my head track coach.
Class was boring, and was at 8am, and he was always really pushing me to run as much as possible because of track season and said, "have fun with this one today, don't let anyone beat you....and you'd better break 7:00 minutes for the run (with an evil smile)"
In one day, we had to do
1 - as many pushups as possible in 60 seconds (90 degrees elbow)
2- as many situps in 60 seconds (someone held our feet)
3 - 1.5 mile run on indoor 200m track.
1 - 74
2 - 103
3 - 6:54
My high school PB in the 2-mile was 10:04, so running under 4:40 pace was brutal and i almost fainted at the end. Sadly, this one one of my best performances until my junior year of track. haha
i was also in 48.5-49.0 4x400m shape at the time
