Would you expect Curry to recognize Isaac Cortes of Great Oak?
Curry is a 2-time MVP and NBA Champion. He certainly would have an Olympic Gold if healthy. He played against Lebron James with a torn ACL in the most rigged NBA Final since Dallas-Miami 10 years ago.
Centro "won" a gold medal in a time that would have been about 9th place in the California State High School Championships this year. Cortes beat him by more than 5 seconds.
I think if that had been Usain Bolt on the plane, Curry would have know who he is.
Bitter man. Centro won against a great field. The fast guys were too chicken to take it out. All Centro wanted to do was get on the rail and let someone get in front and pick up the pace. No one did. He won. Get over it. Centro is an Olympic Champ. He finished with a 50 point last lap, same as the rest of the top guys but he ran 1500 meters and the rest ran 1501 - 1510 meters. Get over it. Centro won.
Curry lives in Walnut Creek Ca. Not SAN FRANCISCO.

Coach D i seriously hope you are joking, if not this is the dumbest fvcking thing I've ever heard come out of a "coaches" mouth. You probably were the one to notify ESPN that 4 paralympians would've beaten centro in Rio. What about Centros OT record in Eugene? Could Isaac Cortes of great oak done that? Unbelievable the ideology of HS coaches in this country. There is a reason Centro won our first gold in the 1500 in over 100 years.

I just want to know if Centro just carries his gold medal in his pocket everywhere he goes?
Maybe he was at some event where he had to show it off, but this is what I hope happened
Curry: was like "hey man, what do you do?"
Centro: " I won a MF gold medal"
*pulls gold medal out from under shirt like it is perfectly normal for him to still be wearing it
That would be a hoot. I'll also go with LIKELY.
In fact, Centro has brought his medal to group events, as I imagine many Olympians are invited to do, especially immediately after winning. The mother of one of my friends lives in the same building in the DC area as Centro's dad, so dad's neighbors threw a party for Centro after he returned from Rio. Centro let my friend's mom hold his gold medal, and my friend said it was probably the first time his mom (a very sprightly woman in her early golden years) ever regretted not having a smartphone to take a selfie.
And obvs, if you brought your medal with you on a flight, you wouldn't put it in your checked luggage...
Isaac Cortes, I'm sure, was deprived unjustly of a gold medal by not being allowed in the Olympic final, which he would have won easily, right?

If Curry watched the Olympics, and if he watched the 1500, then he may well have recognized Centro all on his own. Centro got a lot of face time on TV. He has distinctive features and is quite recognizable.
Curry would not really know nor (unlike many on lets run) would not care the Centro won in a slow time.

Hey Centro can you tell me how to not choke in the finals?
Steph Curry sucks. Most overrated bball player.
He's like the Alan Webb of Basketball.
That's why he blew a 3-1 lead in the finals to LEBRON JAMES.
Haven't been on letsrun in a while. Relieved to see the idiots are still here.

RAWWWRR XD
So Curry, like the rest of us with brains, would say "oh you're one of those losers who treated the Olympic final like an exhibition game."
Curry ran a little track, so he might know that Centro won a slow 400 against distance runners, not a 1500 against milers.
Gold with an asterisk.

Carry-on luggage is the answer to why Centrowitz had his OG medal on hand for a selfie-op.

And if Webb had done it, your nose would still be super-glued to Webb's anus.
Seth Curry be my favorite NBA player and Centro is my favorite runner. Still can't believe the Warriors went 73-9 last year and didn't win the NBA finals with 3 all stars oh well this coming year Golden State added a top 4-5 NBA player in K-Durrant and are a lock for the Championship my only question is will Golden State lose more then 5 games next year all season long????????? Gree,Curry,Thompson,Durrant ========= WOW has any other team ever had 4 all stars on the same team??????????
