Oh, hell! Tom Petty's 'Running Down A Dream'
Dear Music Searcher,
I saw your question about looking for a good song for race video. By now you probably have no need of running music for a race video, but you might be looking for good music to run to or be able to choose music to match your pace. That is what we do. In this regard, I invite you to visit our site. In 2018 we will have Running in the Spirit available to purchase at Itunes and Amazon and by this Summer 16 more tracks individually or as an album. In this regard, check us out and hear some samples at:

James
"Eye of the Tiger" by Survivor
George Michael- Careless Whispers
I have used Chariots of Fire, Always on the Run and Running Down a Dream for running videos, as well as "Long Time Running" (Tragically Hip).
I tend to do more hockey and mountain bike videos though, and could use some suggestions.
As a proud Canadian I've used many Tragically Hip songs, as well as many other ones that typically make these lists (ie: Thunderstruck, Come Get Me now, remember the Name, You've Got Another Thing Coming, etc ). Also used "Bodies" by Drowning Pool, but other parents said wtf was that?
As I make a short highlight video for almost every time my son's team wins, I am running out of ideas....
The Distance- Cake
Paint it Black- Rolling Stones
Run to the Hills- Iron Maiden
Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner- Iron Maiden
the xx - intro
Hate or Glory / Gesaffelstein
Should We Fight Back / the Parlotones
Run by Coin
If anyone uses or has used Chariots of Fire you are a complete and total hack.
The ONLY acceptable time to use that would be if your video was of some really old/fat people trying to run, otherwise you are the joke.

I kinda like Moon Baby by Godsmack, there's a part in there where you hear a backing voice track "tolerance.. tolerance of pain, tolerance of pain.. and we can't have weakness..." about 2:28 into the song.
Thug Luv by Bone Thugs and 2Pac
"White 'n' Nerdy" from Weird Al.
Hurt by Johnny Cash. A bit slow, but has meaning!
