AT Distance Calculator says 107.8 miles to Rockfish Gap from Front Royal/US522.

Isn't this what the other poster was saying would happen? Let her hang herself? Seemingly friendly posters will offer info that eventually proves she covered ground at unrealistic rates and therefore show she didn't really complete the trail unsupported or at all.
I believe In Kaiha. Actually, I'm the one who trained her.
I'm the current record holder on Appalachian Trail. I just haven't made it public until now. I hiked a the entire trail in 3 days. Exactly. Not a millisecond more or less. I didn't even carry a pack. Carrying a pack is for wimps. I only carried a ham sandwich and a bottle of Gatorade the whole way through.

The kind hostel owner in Front Royal places KB leaving his hostel early on September 3.
Obliging driver, Billie Beartrap, states on his facebook page that he picks up KB at Swift Run Gap on the morning of September 4 and brings her to Waynesboro, where she checks into another hostel. (Note: Swift Run Gap is 62.3 miles south of Front Royal -- an incredibly huge hike but in line with what KB would have needed to be doing.)
AT Shuttle driver "Stanimal" brings KB to Rock Creek Gap early on September 5, where she continues her hike southward.
Up until the hostel owner's post, KB had insisted that Billie Beartrap was mistaken, that he had picked her up at Rockfish Gap. Note that her statement on her facebook page testifying to this point is copied in this thread somewhere, but it is no longer on KB's site.
In short, the hostel owner's facebook post corroborates Billie Beartrap's story, and not even KB can assert that she covered 107 miles through the Virginia Appalachians in a day. Evidence shows KB skipped the 45 miles from Swift Run to Rockfish Gap.

I don't think this has been posted yet. Here's a credible report from a hostel owner who happens to be a former Olympic athlete (see the 8:30 AM 9/27/16 comment on first link) reporting that she did a zero day at his hostel and then didn't start hiking until 10 the next morning. I googled him and sure enough, found her 8/11/16 picture on his hostel's fb page. She's relaxing in a camp chair mid-morning with several other hikers, with a cup in her hand. Totally innocent (outside the context of a fake FKT claim), totally the sort of delightful experience we all love on the AT when we're not making time, and totally not what an FKT hiker does. This makes her second documented zero day, and she wasn't even ten days into her so-called FKT attempt!
The hostel owner's 8/8/16 11:05 AM fb post indicates Meltzer is 3 or 4 days ahead already...does this coffin need any more nails?

That's my take. It's too rich. The owner thinks he's showing his faith in KB's "tenacity and strength of character" (and FYI he has recently uploaded a "departure pic" for September 3). But in so doing, he establishes an unassailable starting point for a timeline of KB's trip through the Shenandoahs.
I don't know. Maybe KB's level of delusion is so great that she will continue to insist that she made it all 107 miles to Rockfish Gap in a day AND that Billy Beartrap is still lying about picking her up a logical AT intersection.
However, anyone with a shred of rationality has to interpret these independent observations taken together as proof that she skipped a large chunk of trail.

Exactly. She was in Front Royal on September 3rd, and magically went 107 miles by 10:30 on September 4th, after spending the night at Bearfence shelter and sleeping for 6 hours on the night of the third. Yep, very convincing.

Are people taking screenshots and making a compilation of the evidence against Kaiha somewhere, as was done on the Rossi and especially the Rob Young thread?
The owner seems to worship Kaiha so he may delete his post and the departure pic...
Having all of the evidence against her compiled and neatly summarized in one place will be useful for any journalist who is considering covering this story. They're more likely to accurately portray how impossible her claims are, rather than giving her story plausibility, like the tripe that Outdoor Magazine published.
I'd do it, but I'm too lazy.

Enough to hatch the idea/con but not enough to destroy it. Anyone who's done an honest day's hiking at record pace would see the absurdity of claiming to do that pace for more than a few days, let alone 45. So I'd say she did no more than a week total on the trail and no more than 20 miles a day; so maybe 140 miles total.
