I have nothing negative to say about the race other than the train thing. It was my first ever marathon so I've got no real basis for comparison. But since I run on trails quite a bit, I thought the course was great. The volunteers were excellent. Aid stations were well staffed and supplied. I registered early so I think I paid $80 which is not a lot of money. I decided to pursue Boston 2017 18 weeks ago and wanted to give myself as much training time as well. And the last weekend before BQ cutoff fits the bill perfectly. Yes it was deathly hot. But this morning was 51 on the starting line. People tell me it was mid-50's last year, too. And I broke 3 hours (moving time anyway). So I'm not hating on the race at all. I'd do it again.
