coburn looked like the terminator, with her steady solid gait, as she reeled in and overtook the 3rd placed runner.
the 200 and 1500 women races were especially competitive, great watches.
having learnt of the simpson/rowbury rivalry from letsrun, and seen their supporters 'clash' online. added something piquant to the 1500w.

I liked the comment about Simpson acting like she didn't even know where Rowbury finished after the race at the Olympics. I bet Simpson will knows where Rowbury finished NOW! She will have a scar on her forehead from Rowbury from being kicked by her spikes.

Am I a bad person if the only reason I watched this race was to see Simpson fall and get hit in the face by Rowbury's shoe. There was something really cathartic about that.

so you say that I don't get to pick the race type, then you go ahead and say what style of race you are using?
There is zero chance that those "probably" guys win more than 2 races out of 10 against jager, I give Blankenship 3, murphy and Andrews probably are close to 50/50 against jager right now if they ran 10 times.
Also rupp could have a year to specifically train for a 1500 against jager with no other purpose and still win no more than 1 (if that) out of 10.

What type of race crowns the best of the best? On ANY level? Rounds/trials. This is fact.
