Is this some sort of coded message? Here's a specific example.... a 2015 Hyundai Veloster listed for sale for $28,000 with only one word description... "Nice."
MSRP of a brand new Veloster Turbo is only $24,000. Plus, who sells a car without giving some description of it?
My guess it that it's some sort of hidden message in plain sight. Has anyone heard anything about this sort of ad?

Lack of walls / gates allow anybody to post most anything, and many are ignorant or willfully ignorant about what the market will bear. (Lots of people with the attitude of one of my elderly relatives, who clings fast to beliefs such as "Somebody will want that" and "Because I paid a lot for a run-of-the-mill, well-used couch in 1975, I should get nearly original price for it in 2016.")
In addition, hope and shamelessness abound. When I posted a vehicle ad recently, I got an offer for a straight trade for a smaller vehicle 8 years older that was typically selling for $1.5-2.3k less.
Some of the best examples were highlighted in a web site called yousuckatcraigslist.com Sadly, its authors quit it in 2014-- but the site is still up.
People who buy and sell a lot on Craigslist have a few tricks that you wouldn't expect from ebay or in person. I've sold a couple cars on Craigslist, and I have always put the price well over what I expected to get. That's just because people will try to feel out how much they can negotiate for the car. Another thing, some people don't post much information because they want you to have to contact them or go see it, so that they can give you the sales pitch.
