This little teenage girl makes no difference. Whatever comes out of her immature mouth has no effect on any other athlete's decision to dope. It just makes her look like an ass.

Why does Phelps get a pass? He wins everything. He is like Bolt but running 9.4's all the time.
It is not just a matter of who is a doper, but who is best at not getting caught.
Lance was from what country, that's right USA which has the cutting edge medical tech to stay a step ahead of the testing labs. And the most money for bribes. In particular, Phil Knight, the majority stakeholder of global sports, is an American.
I am very dubious of those shouting boldly regarding PEDs. No, she won't call out her US swim & dive teammates regarding PEDs in the same manner she called a Russian and in the same manner she called out Gatlin.

There's a reason for that, guess what it is. In the meantime, be as dubious as you like.

The Olympics Bye, Bye wrote:The athletes all sign a code of conduct to be in the Olympics and attacking you competitors and teammates is cause for dismissal from the games. The IOC and sports organizations determine who gets to compete, not the athletes.
The solution is to remove any whiny athlete who uses the Olympics as a forum for anything; drugs, Rum Gum, religion, etc. If they athletes cannot honor the code the signed and agreed to they do not belong in the Games.
Those athletes can spew whatever they like after the Games are over.
So, she fails the code of conduct but the drug cheats don't/didn't?
Think before writing.
Reading comprehension isn't a skill of yours. "The IOC and sports organizations determine who gets to compete, not the athletes."

Do you think that could be because there aren't any convicted drug cheats on the US swim and dive team for King to call out? Just askin'.

The only hope for clean sport is the athletes. The politics amongst the IOC and national federations are so disgusting that you cannot expect much more than a continuation of the status quo. But if the athletes revolt and start calling out dopers at every press conference and make it known that they do not want to share the stage with dopers, the IOC and national federations will be embarrassed into taking stronger action to keep from losing sponsors who will grow tired of athletes spending so much time talking about doping. Doping is a big turn off for the casual fan and threatens ratings and sponsorship profits.
Exactly. There are a lot of pathetic and big whiner posters on this thread.
Very well done Ms. Lilly King. You talked the talk…and you walked the walk…BIG TIME. You are spunky (like Alexa Efraimson).
You acted just like Mr. Mack Horton (spunky Aussie with good accent).
Ms. Lilly King should replace Sir Craig Reedie (Brit liar) as the head of WADA. Ms. Lilly King should also replace Thomas Bach (German liar) as head of the IOC. She would kick some butts from Sabadell, Spain right out of the Olympics. Lilly would really do it. Oh yea.
If the IOC and WADA can't kick the doper-cheaters out of the Olympics, then Ms. Lilly King and Mr. Mack Horton will just kick the doper-cheaters right out of the pool. Ms. Efimova can f i mova out of the pool right now.
Hey Yuliya Efimova. Please get out of the pool and go away. Nobody likes you anymore. Nobody wants to swim with you.
Hey Sun Yang. Please get out of the pool and go away. Nobody likes you anymore. Nobody wants to swim with you.
That was fun.
(I feel more perky now.)
Lilly King probably has internal testes.
Has there been a more manly US women's swim team?
It's skag heaven.

King is using drugs to cause problems for competitors, the same that dirty cheat Radcliffe did to get rid of her competition.
There is no gender testing in athletics, so neither of them have room to talk about others.
You're blind if you believe swimmers don't use PEDs. I am not convinced Lilly King is clean. I am not convinced she doesn't have an unusually high level of T. King has a massive body build. King has a huge jaw. King has bad acne. We've seen loud shouters in cycling. We've seen loud shouters in baseball. I have no reason to believe King was clean a few days ago. I am not going to pat her on the back.
Certain body types naturally will continue to excel in certain sports- Tall basketball players with long arms...sprinters with long legs... high jumpers with long legs and compact torsos-discus throwers with broad shoulders... tall women with broad shoulders and long arms will probably dominate swimming more in the future . If I was a swimming coach that's the body type I would definitely look for. Sure Ms. King should have kept her mouth shut on things she can't control- and a terse "no comment" to reporters questions would have carried more impact.

Balls perhaps, but her criticism should be on athletes who are currently doping as opposed to athletes who have served their suspension and are competing within the rules established by the national and international governing bodies. With that said, it would have been more ballsy if she criticized the IAAF and/or the IOC. Also, the media has unfairly made Gatlin the poster child for doping when he caught over a decade ago and served the longest penalty handed out at the time. There are many ex-dopers, but Gatlin seems to be overly singled out because he successfully made a comeback.

Yep. Cheap shot on the athletes who've already been dealt with by the authorities. Her opinion and statement is not well-thought out. She is a rash, immature, cocky, confrontational, uninformed, idealistic teenager.
She should criticize the governing bodies if she thinks about the issue rationally instead of selfishly and emotionally.

Her behavior is what start fights. I hope someone defends their honor and beats the crap out of her. Fair is fair. Start a fight, get your ass kicked.
The above is why she needs to keep her mouth shut. If I were her coach I would drop her from the team immediately. What is said in private is one thing. What is said in public is another. Attacking competitors, or teammates, is unacceptable.
The same would happen in any work environment. Abuse your coworkers and find yourself out of a job.
Right on-I hope someone gets the word she can still make the appropriate "public apology".
He gets singled out more because he got caught twice and very unlikely that even stopped him so it shouldn't be a shock that people don't want to jump on his bandwagon no matter how fast it's going. And I think a lot of people would like to see lifetimes bans so yes even if he "served his time" the court of public opinion isn't bound by that.
That being said I'm one of those who thinks sprinters are like cyclists and they're all doping so I turn it off when the 100 meter dash is on and wish NBC wouldn't even air it much less consider it practically the signature event of the Olympics.

You live in the clouds of blind self-righteousness. You must believe your spot in Heaven is guaranteed by what you believe are your High Morals.
A lot of people are realistic and don't care that professional athletes skirt the rules. Most people skirt whatever their rules supposedly governing them.
You should take your communist propaganda BS and go back to Putinville and the really fun country of China…with government control of media and thought.

You make no sense and need to work on your reading comprehension.
Encouraging someone to criticize governing bodies instead of the ones who are ruled is completely anti-communist.
