I would be surprised if Casey Clinger doesn't win Individual and team at NXN. American Fork is pretty decent. So is Clinger.

Are there any legit ranking websites for high school Xc that are updated right now? If so put a link in here. Thanks!
Official practices have started in Utah and maybe some other states, or will real soon. Guess Milesplit and Dyestat are not doing preseason rankings and waiting for races to be run.
Wayzata has there two best classes ever in there midst right now. They will win. They are returning 12 sub 17 runners. Injuries won't affect them. Anyone of these guys could pop.

By that logic, they'll have their hands full with CBA (who also return 12 sub-17 runners), Great Oak (15 sub-17 runners), Neuqua Valley (16 sub-16:25 for 3 miles), Davis UT (16 sub-17 for 5k, even though they run 3 miles almost every race), and Carmel IN (17 sub-17 runners)!
Wayzata has the 2nd best top 7 runners looking at track times and they are the best in the country looking at the runners 8-14. I'm very impressed!
A deep team helps but only 7 guys race and only 5 guys count in team scoring. Those 8-14 guys can fill gaps but they become spectators at championship races.
Don't see anybody better than American Fork at the top 3. Don't see any 1 runner better than Casey Clinger. Carson Clinger dropped 40 seconds off last year's Mid Summer Time Trial. American Fork could be 5 deep and be hard to beat.
I think CBA is pretty dang good this year. Wayzata is a close 2nd cause of their depth. American fork is 3rd cause of their front runners.
Here we go...
1. CBA
2. Wayzata
3. American Fork
4. Dana Hills
5. Carroll
6. Davis
7. Manlius
8. Great Oak
9. Neuqua Valley
10. Lone Peak
I agree with a few of your teams. But I have a little different taste in teams:Top 15 US Teams:1: Great Oak2. Lone Peak3. Neuqua Valley4. Dana Hills5. CBA6: Carmel7: Bozeman8: Woodlands9: Lehi10: Southlake Carroll11: Solon12: Ogden 13: Madera South14: Wayzata 15: Davis

Does anyone think that Brodey Hasty is the best in the nation? Or Seth Hirsch? Anyone other than Casey Clinger?
Nah, I think Clinger is easily the favorite. Did you watch him race at Arcadia? It was very gutsy performance.
But on the team note. Many of these comments are very favored toward American Fork and CBA. We should start looking at schools like Carmel, Davis, Great Oak, and Carroll.
Am I missing any teams that are being very underrated?
I'll have to look into it further, but Greak Oak lost their 3 best guys ever, or close to it. If they can make it to NXN again that will be very impressive. Same for Dana Hills that lost 2 extremely fast guys.
Don't know if Seth Hirsch can rise to the very top this year, but long term my money is on him. He looked like an 8th grader at FLN.
Man... Just read through this whole subject and it got me very excited for the season. I wanna see more predictions and comments!!!

Agreed, Seth is definitely going to be one to look out for in College, especially since he seems to be a lot stronger the longer the distance and still has room to grow. I just hope he doesn't get injured when the important meets come up. It would be interesting if he could pull a Verzbicas and win both NXN and Footlocker since he managed to get 9th at both, but Clinger will certainly be tough to top at NXN, along with others like Principe and Gessner.
I think Hirsch has no chance of beating Clinger at any race other than a marathon as of right now....
Sorry Seth...
Lake Zurich, Illinois deserves a look. Returning their top 4, with the top 3 being really solid, good 4th, need a fifth to step up.

I would be shocked if they make NXN. Sorry dude.
Someone just listed Neuqua in the top ten and they have a much weaker returning team than Lake Zurich.
I disaagree with that statement

While I mostly agree with you, it's not that outlandish. NV's #1 returner only ran 14:56 at state, while LZ had 3 under 14:45. Both teams were similar at #4 as well (15:18 for LZ vs. 15:10 for NV). NV has the clear edge at #5, but DiscoGary already noted that that would be a weakness that they need to address for his statement to be true.
If LZ finds one more potential 15:20 type guy, they are clearly the top team in Illinois. If they "only" find a 15:35 guy, they'll still be very competitive, and that would be reasonable - their #5 returner ran 16:05 at their league meet.
LZ reminds me of Loyola Academy IL from 2009, and they ended up finishing fourth at NXN Nationals (even if that was a fairly weak year up top).
My favorites are CBA, Dana Hills, American Fork and Wayzata based on track times this year.
Anyone who knows what they are talking about should put some new rankings. I don't know enough about this years class. Thanks!
