To Rojo\'s question: the opinion of Obama\'s brother is irrelevant to the question of Trump\'s fitness for office. President Carter had an alcoholic brother who hung around a gas station, and if he were still alive, he might have also voted for Trump. If Obama\'s brother is a Muslim and intends to vote for Trump, he\'s crazy, and plenty of accomplished men have brothers who are crazy.
The story of Trump\'s draft status brings to mind two items: first, I was born in 1953, and a high school classmate of mine, also born in 1953, had the misfortune of having his birthdate show up No. 1 in the draft lottery. My friend was as straight as they come and would surely have served if required. He had some back problems when we ran together in high school. He was called for a Selective Service physical, and he honestly answered he had a back problem. He was sent to an orthopedic doctor for further evaluation. The orthoped X-rayed him, and showed my friend the X-Ray and the cause of his problem The doctor then took the form from Selective Service and asked my friend if he wanted to serve in the Army. Momentarily stunned, my friend said he\'d prefer to finish college. The doctor completed the paperwork, and several weeks later, my friend got a letter from Selective Service saying he wasn\'t physically fit to serve.
Donald Trump was born in 1946. I haven\'t researched it, but I\'m quite certain men born in 1946 were not subject to a draft lottery. My recollection was the draft lottery didn\'t go into effect for those born before around 1951. If he said he did not serve because of his draft lottery number, I strongly suspect he\'s lying, but I don\'t know that for certain. If his explanation isn\'t correct, I can assure you it\'s not a mistake. All of us from that era remember our draft status.
