Solid meet. Johnson was pretty good, other announcers weak ,lighting a little poor. Eaton entertaining. Thumbs up.

Got to say the swerve ball got my attention, and I'm 54.
And give the kids a break. They're excited, that's a good thing.

You're confusing this with the tracktown thing
At the Trials, I heard a disturbing rumor that the Track Town thing - the whole idea - was basically copied (stolen depending on your perspective i guess?) from the American Track League.
This meet is pretty incredible. AR in pole vault, Eaton, De Grasse, Asafa Powell, unreal 1k.
Because he is a troll. Nothing he says is actually his opinion. He's a good troll because he seems legit. I actually believe that many of the believable trolls on this site are the same person, because the thought of multiple people putting so much effort into a fake persona makes me sad. Better to imagine it being one very disturbed human with an uncontrollable desire to whine and get attention from strangers on an anonymous forum.
Weird meet. Those kids would annoy the hell out of me.
And holy motha Jenna Prandini is GORGEOUS. unnnnffffff

Camera-work was shoddy at best. Got motion sickness a few times during broadcast. What did ESPN do? Hire FloTrack to do production?
That was fun. I hope they can keep these going. I was pretty shocked that some guys at the bar were actually interested in it and we're happy to discuss track and field even though they don't know anything about it.
What a race, a terrible race. Should have just skipped the first 900m after that jog. Glorified 100m, predictable outcome.

Did we ever figure out who the guy in the hat was? I rewatched it. THe person who broke stride with about 150 to go and lost him momentum was him as Centro was going to make sure he was in position to race. I like, little shove aintt going to hurt no one.
LeBron gets all the calls, why not Centro. I was going to be irate if I didn't get to seem them battle it out.
What a race.
Well put.

Yes. That had some great spelling. It was exciting to 'seem' them battle it out!
Is this still the Lets Onion Run.com site?
Ridiculo!
That was great. Hearing from Ashton Eaton, seeing Houston and its local flavour, all those cheerleaders... what a meet!

I missed the meet and forget to set the DVR, so I can't comment on the actual competition, but I'll go out on a limb and say this was the funniest live thread I've ever read on Let's Run. Old timers might remember the Boston Marathon live thread of 2015, with its clever ridicule of NBC coverage, but for consistent laffs, page after page, this was the GOAT. We need more American Track League competitions, for the good of the sport. And I'm getting myself a Swerve Ball.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/athletics/3078642.stmRight... and Centrowitz won the 1000m tonight.
Headlines/reporters aren't always accurate.
No one claimed Centro won the 1000. What a stupid non-point.
My claim was not the headlines are always accurate. My claim is that Lagat tested positive for EPO. Which he did.
