a couple of blue chip recruits i know get to lean all over the place while the rest of the student body has to stand up straight. it's such a sham.
but in all serious, i hope for your sake (assuming you're fast) that the answer is yes.

It is true at some schools. Usually it is somewhat of a percentage below the general school population.
So for example, Wisconsin might require their top recruits to have a 2.5 GPA, while the student body averages 3.4.
Stanford might require a 2.8, while the student body averages 3.7
Oregon might require them to spell their name correctly half the time, while the student body averages 2.3.
