And I expect Putin, the sociopath, to put some heavy heat on the IOC via back channels.
IOC hasn't officially banned Russia yet.
Could lead to a blanket Russian ban (all Olympic events included). They have been banned from track and field.
I hope their athletes don't join ISIS and terrorize the games.
Maybe the next step will be for the individual athletes to appeal to see if they can compete under an independent banner. Though I think it will be tough for them to achieve that, given the most recent revelations.
Also, their training will be impacted. Who is going to be mentally hard enough to train at 100%, knowing that they probably aren't getting on the flight?

Sorry, but the US isn't doing state sponsored doping. Sure, it has more than it's fair share of dopers, but it's not state sponsored.
this is such bs.... you shouldnt ban everyone in a group ban, each person should be a case of their own, and if theres no concrete proof an individual was violating the standards they shouldnt all be lumped in with the ones who have....

The UK, Kenya, or Ethiopia should also go down if the IOC is any way concerned about applying the rules equally to all nations.

Rubbish !
Russia's doping system is beyond the pale and virtual all their medalists are dopers.
Turkey, Spain, S. Africa, Bahrain, Qatar, Jamaica, Morroco, etc. etc?
Thank god the olympics will now be a clean competition!
What about that long jumper and the whistleblower? I thought they previously got approved to compete under the Russian flag, or is it the independent flag?
(The long jumper got approved since she lives and trains in the US for the last few years, proving she was outside of the country-sponsored doping program. I forget her name...)
With the biggest macrodopers out, at least the microdopers have a chance now.
REinstated the Rio doping lab...
