With so many enemies he will find it difficult to stay in power. If he tries too hard to retain power there will be civil war.
Not to mention the failed US occupations in Iraq, Afghanistan, Palestine, etc.

Erdogan wins. Now he wants US to ex' his ideological rival who lives in Pa!
To the leftists the world is simple. Whoever is in power somewhere is a US stooge.
General Al-Sisi of Egypt is the next CIA puppet to be targeted by Islam.

Obama supported the Muslim Brotherhood against Mubarak and Al-Sisi. So if anyone is going to take down Al-Sisi, it will be good ole' Barry Hussein once again.
But hey, it's always America's fault.

Hardly. Obama supported Mubarak and the Al-Sisi coup. The reason isn't hard to understand. The Muslim Brotherhood is anti-Israel. Al-Sisi is pro-Israel.
Obama always puts Israel first. All democracies in the Middle East would be anti-Israel. Hence, Obama will always support dictatorships.

Which is true in the ME except for Syria, Iran, and, of course Israel.
Erdogan is by no means Obama's stooge.

You're right. No one is. Obama is always someone else's stooge.
Turkey is a colony of the United States. Erdogan is the Sultan of Turkey who reports to Barry Oh!

You are suggesting Jaish al-Islam, the Islamic Front and ISIS are pro-Israel?
Obama continues the decades-old policy of stirring up trouble between Sunnis and Shiites, and toppling secular Arab governments in favor of religious fanatics, none of whom ever turn out pro-Israel. The US is ruled by a corporate oligarchy that wants the region kept unstable so that its resources can be readily exploited. The last thing they want is for everyone there to be friends.

Yes. A funny thing about ISIS... they have never attacked Israel.

Something tells me Erdogan is really, really good at what he does. Lets just say he looks like he is executing the Joseph Stalin playbook and doing it very well. The coup was so poorly executed as to be laughable. It is being suggested, even by mainstream journalists, that it was contrived by Erdogan from the beginning. Stalin did something just like it in the 1930s. He contrived to have one of his potential successors (Kirov) assassinated. Then used that assassination as evidence that there was a mass conspiracy to overthrow his government. That created the rationale for Stalin to destroy thousands of his rivals through purges.
On the other hand, maybe members of the Turkish army felt so desperate about their future that they had to try a coup even if it was a shot in the dark. Either way it amounts to the same thing. That Erdogan is a master at consolidating and maintaining a choke hold on power.
I'm curious to know more precisely what these "purges" mean in the present context. That term has become so vague. It can simply mean that a person is kicked out of the organization and nothing more. Or it could mean that they are imprisoned, tortured and killed. They just "disappear". I think with Erdogan it is much closer to the latter.

The so-called "Israel" is a Holocaust refugee colony of the United States of America, and the central problem of the current Middle East Dark Age period the world is suffering through.
