After rightfully being put through to the 800 final when he was impeded by another runner, Engels gets fourth in the final and then comes back tonight and dominates his heat in the 1500. Impressive trials.

He's pretty rad, got really lucky with that opening in the last 100 meters to get unboxed.
If you mean like a skid mark then yes.

Yeah, he makes me nervous in there but he seems to find a way through and has a good kick.
The guy is having a great Trials, but let's get real. He didn't dominate his slow heat in the 1500. When you know you are not going to make the team, and have a chance to win your heat, you go for it. Do you really think any of the contenders care about winning their first round heat ?
No one in that heat is making the team and he won easily
Well with all the help (read: cheating) from the Ole Miss coach who is running the Olympic team what else would you expect from this hipster douche??
Ruining the sport is actually more impressive than making the Olympics. Even better would be if you KYS and provided a live stream.
So what are the best 8/15 doubles in OT history? I know Wottle was 1st and 2nd in '72, and Wolhuter won both in '76, but more recently? Seems like Engels could get a nice double here.
Don't forget their assistant coach Presson Isaac who wasn't touched, but fell 30 yards from finish also was advanced to the semis.
And Engels knocked over Ford Palmer and was somehow not DQ'd.
No he didn't. Watch the tape big mouth Monmouth
How many U.S. high school runners have broken 1:50 in the 8 and 9:00 in the 3200? I think the total is four:
1) Jim Spivey
2) Alan Webb
3) Drew Hunter
4) Craig Engels
Regardless of how fast he runs, I just can't like/respect Engels solely because of his douchey attention whore mullet and moustache.

Met him a few years back when he still ran for NC State. He was a totally down to earth type of guy (hilarious as well). Don't let his looks get to ya.

Monmouth hahahahaaa good one.
I'm sure he'll be responsible for clipping or knocking over some runner tonight in the 1500m. The guy is a jackass and he screwed over Shaq Walker.

Yeah, he really should have come to a complete stop when Walker jumped in front of him and slowed rapidly. Hopefully if someone impedes him tonight, he will demonstrate that he has learned his lesson.
