I think it's ridiculous that she was flipping out like a child throwing a temper tantrum, while Martinez, who has NOT already made an Olympic team in the past, was pretty bummed but also pretty reasonable, realistic, and chill about things. She also kept running and finished the race - I'm actually insanely impressed that she still ran 2:06 after getting tripped up like that going at almost full speed. But with Montano, that has to have been the most overly selfish moment I've seen in track and field in a long time. I mean, I'd surely be pissed if I were in that position but I wouldn't be a sore loser about it. It happens.
Uceny, for example, had a very justified reason to flip out from falling in the London Olympic final given that she was a big medal threat and fell in the final the year before as well. Montano wasn't even a 100% lock for the team anyways.
