Is it really that hard to coach Kenyans into the top 3 among American runners?
The only thing he does is write and email training program that non of those guys use...I have seen his training program...he needs to go back to train high school kids first before he jumps to big guys game

Dan Browne was the fist class of the NOP. Chad Johnson. Remember? Dan Browne was an ARMY runner, then went to Al Sal and the altitude house (young sophomore in high school Galen Rupp used to stay over on weekends) with Mike D and the boys. Salads was into some weird wired stuff then...brainwave testing and the like. Galeq's body chemistry has been manipulated since the kid was 15 years old. You see...Galen Rupp is the NOP. That's it. Army runners under Dan Browne are LITERALLY dominating the distance events in the trials. Has any team/coach combo ever been this successful in the history of the trials?! It's amazing! Congrats to US Army WCAP!!!!!

Are you talking about Browne or Simmons here?
If it's Simmons, I agree. He does a ton of emailing and writing training programs. He meets his team 2-3 times a week IF he's in Colorado Springs. Sometimes they don't see him for weeks or over a month because he's off traveling or interviewing on the East Coast for college coaching jobs.
Browne and Simmons are not very friendly with each other. I've seen them in Colorado and once in Bend and they were certainly not chatting each other up.
No love loss there.
