What the hell was that? Was there anyone else in this race besides Galen and those 2 Kenyans and the hobby joggers clogging up the track?

Is Rupp making White people evolve to become faster?

That was rough. Conditions really screwed a lot of the guys, but I guess it'll be hot in Rio.
Question though, why didn't True drop out? He finished in over 29min and has 5k coming up. Seems dumb.
He probably jogged it in, same diff
That was some of the worse coverage ever.
They only showed the 2 leaders in the last part of the race, with a little of the 3rd guy but didn't even say he was 3rd until the last stretch. They completely ignored the rest of the runners and didn't even show them finishing.

HUGE gap
28:45 Scott Fauble (barely no standard)
28:47 Derrick (no standard)
28:56 Chelanga
True way back
Good race for Derrick. Showed he isn't done yet.
Carnage out there. It is absurd how much better Rupp is than the field

Who better to represent the USA in the olympics than 2 men in our military? Fantastic!
I don't get all the sh!tting on Rupp. The dude is world class and our only hope of even coming close to a distance medal.
Not that he was competitive, but good to see Derrick finish way higher than anyone expected after all the complaining about him getting in.
So they can interview all 3 shot putters during another event but they can't interview Kipchirchir and Korir?
60.74 last 400m earns ultimate performance of the day?!
please somebody use a wireless streaming camera to show the races via P2P stream.
Yes, it is legal, sports events can't be copyrighted.
There is a long tradition around here of Rupp hating.
I'm a fan of the guy myself. I'm mainly a fan of the sport, in general.

How much combat duty have they seen?
Not gonna lie, I'm a little bit disappointed. The excitement got taken out of the 10,000. Our mens 10,000 team is Galen Rupp and 2 Kenyans, one I've never even heard of. The TV coverage didn't show the breakaway, Lagat dropping out, or the race for third place until the last 2 laps.
Well, see you all tomorrow where we spend most of the thread explaining to people how to find a stream and watch (some of, if we're lucky) the women's 10k in the middle of the day where it's sure to be just as hot and full of carnage as the men's.
Rupp running the 5000 as well. Wow
agreed, even though I am a navy guy i can deal with the army making it in this. Also have to wonder if the heat helped the guys with the kenyan background today.
Funny how everyone is pumping True and Jenkins. Oops.
think galen has been working on his persona. Much better interview today. less of a dud

Well they can barely speak English. NBCS coverage might suck but they know how bad that would make all parties involved look when two of our Olympians speak East African gibberish.
