Why run with a glock 43? There's better single stacks with higher mag limits in 9mm that are cheaper and more prove . And a .380 would be better due to the lighter weight and size.

While some people may be totally anti-gun, and many of us can come up with amusing reply posts ( I think the gun jogger guy won this one), the sad reality is that any young woman who runs alone in an isolated area, i.e. trails, large parks, rural roads, etc. is exposed to a far greater risk of violence than any male runner in similar circumstances.

Thanks, I also run with my gun. I live in TX and have a concealed carry permit. I run on dirt roads, since the dirt road is easier on my 50 yr old knees and ankles than pavement. The roads are farmland and are secluded with no homes or businesses nearby. I'm female and small. I'd have no fighting chance against an attacker if I wasn't carrying.
I always carry a deadly quarter pounder in my shorts and it can be instantly primed for action.

I run with a gun cart:

What am I gonna do with a gun cart?
I don't even own A gun.
Let alone many guns that would necessitate an entire cart.
In addition to weapon, I usually run with a couple sandbags so I can fire from behind cover
In reply to Have You Used It -- fortunately, I have not needed to use it. I do go to the range to make sure I'm proficient.

If you want 9mm there's the ruger lc8 and m&p shield.
For .380 you can do a glock 42 if you're dead set on being a glock fan. Or a bodyguard or ruger lcp
I can't imagine living a life with that much fear that I'd consider carrying a weapon during a run. There's nothing safe or comfortable about running with a gun. It's psychotic.

I don't own a gun either, and just run with a shopping cart.
Before we debate running with a gun let us ask why she needs two guns?

Any real runner won't need a gun. We'd just hit race mode and any wannabe thug would be sucking wind by 400 meters. You don't see to many afro-american distance runners and the ones you do are actually pretty nice guys and unlikely to rob you though I'm sure it has crossed their minds at one point.
Hobby joggers are the other hand. Well they need all protection they can get. I'm talking loaded six shooter, multiple water stations and fule belt in a 5k, maximal cushioning, blinking flashers, etc.

I have done about 10,000 runs in my life, in all of those runs there have only been 2-3 times when I didn't feel safe. Why would I carry an extra pound, a loaded weapon no less for something I don't expect to happen. Btw, I have friends and family members who are in law enforcement, some of these guys will wear their gun to a backyard barbeque. Some people simply like the confidence carrying a weapon gives them.
Honestly I'd rather live my life with the risk of being totally vulnerable that 0.02% of the time than to live the other 99.98% so paranoid that I had to arm myself with a lethal weapon in order to feel safe. That's just not a psychologically healthy way to live.
I don't know how many people here have actually experienced a life or death violent situation, but once you do you quickly realize that in most situations it is a total John Wayne fantasy to imagine that you'd have the presence of mind and speed to have any clue if deadly force were warranted without escalating the situation or killing innocent people. IMO open carrying puts people at risk about as much as it protects them, and creates a more fearful distrustful world around you.

In cause one runs out.
Only in America
If deadly force is warranted, there isn't much about the situation to escalate.
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
