Yes he does, and he wore a suit to the wedding.

So what? What's so strange about a transgender girl who identifies as a man outside sports?
The same reason that a disabled athlete shouldn't be allowed to compete in the Olympics and then the Paralympics after proving he isn't disabled.
We got lucky with him after he murdered his girlfriend though.
Should NOT be allowed to compete in women's athletics. Period. Hell I may as well shave my legs and run in the women's division at Boston and if anybody says anything when I collect my check: "I identify as female." What a crock of #### for the poor gals with bonafide vag's that end up 2nd, 3rd and 4th.

He's a guy not a girl. It would be fine if he ran in men's events, but it isn't fine, because he's running in women's events.
She is a mockery of the sport
putting the he in she wrote:

This is actually a really good idea. Honestly. I usually just troll ppl but this is great. Assuming you are a 2:20 marathoner you should qualify for the Boston marathon as a woman and run the race in the elite women division and destroy the field over the final 5k. It will bring a lot of attention to the subject because the few ppl who watch the race on TV live will be blown away at the stupidity of running to allow men to compete with women. And the media will jump all over it when a man wins the Boston Marathon and takes the check from the Africans.
It's a brilliant idea. Maybe that will get some change to come. After a stunt like that they will have to create a separate division.
You people are all ridiculous and at best are angry at the wrong people. Nobody in in the sport of track said, "yes, let's do away with the hormone treatment policy." IAAF implemented that policy and would have continued with it, but CAS ruled that they could not and they suspended the policy for 2 years. If you all want to be angry at someone, be angry at CAS, or maybe Dutee Chand, the person who challenged the policy. But don't be angry at Caster, none of it is her fault.
Also, I don't think that anybody except you crazy doomsayers expects that this will be the new status quo. Either the ruling will be appealed and overturned, or some new regulation will replace it. Calm down, there's nothing to be done right now, and you can be sure that behind the scenes people have already been working on the next step.

Wow, funny how much things have changed even since 2009. I can't imagine the Onion posting that today. I think they'd get fried for being "insensitive".

People are being insensitive by putting the clown in women's events.

Usually they've had their balls taken care of.
There are kids who due to micropenis, have been assigned gender at birth. In a country where many are born under a tree, I wouldn't be surprised if Semenya was born and assigned in those circumstances. He / She does not possess internal female bits and pieces. Its like spelunking.

This travesty has been going on for a decade and it needs to be stopped.

Is the 800/1500 double on for Rio?! I sure hope so. Does SA have a 4x4 team? She could probably anchor for them as well.
Yes, SA does have a 4x400 team. They won gold. I saw a post stating Semenya was handtimed at 49.3 for the anchor.
They ran 3:28.5
Last year, that wold have ranked them number 10 in the world. How does a nation get a relay spot in the Olympics?

from IAAF page
"...
RELAY TEAMS
A relay team can qualify in one of two ways
-Finish among the first eight placed teams at the IAAF World Relays Bahamas 2015
-Be invited by the IAAF as the best ranked teams to fill the remaining quota places by event according to IAAF World Ranking List of 12 July 2016 based on the aggregate of the two fastest times achieved by national teams in the qualification period. For the results to be valid for qualification purposes, a minimum of two different international teams, representing at least two countries, must compete in the race.
The IAAF will inform the NOCs of each of these national teams of their eligibility tocompete in the Olympic Games relay competitions.
Quota Places by Event
There shall be a maximum of 16 qualified teams in each relay event.
Qualification period: Teams must record the two fastest times during the following prescribed period: 1 January 2015 to 11 July 2016..."
Top 8 from last year in Bahamas 4x400 World Relays: USA, Jamaica, GBR, France, Poland, Canada, Australia, Brazil.
Caster is more of a 400/800 runner. She'll win the 800 in Rio easily, but if she goes against Faith Kipyegon in the 1500, I'm not so sure she'll win.

If Semenya runs the 1500m, expect the race to go out sub 62 and sub 2:05. Nobody in the field will want this to be a kickers race (against a 49.x runner).
