What kind of gun does the hunter have and how much ammo does he have for it?

Gun is a standard 12 gauge shot gun. He has unlimited ammo but can not just fire every second. Has to shot where he thinks you are.

Now hold on... a 12 gauge is going to cover much more area per shot, so he has a higher likelihood of hitting me. Plus, he is using buckshot so the hit will likely kill if he is fairly close. I am not liking the new info. Before, I was thinking handgun and I was still not up for it. Now I am even less likely to play your sick little twisted game.
The increase in money doesn't really do anything for me, to be honest.
This is a great screenplay, though.
What is the hunter's motivation to kill me?
When i was poor i might have considered it if it was a million post-tax and not taxable, because the first million is very hard to make.
My second million was easier to make than my first 50k, frankly.
Not really bragging, but a million wouldn't change my happiness much at all at this point.
my first thought is that i would only do it if i could fight back. but 40 acres (i did the math to check) is a massive amount of land and i think it would be ok. football field is 1.32 acresIf you could fight, it'd be relatively easy to hide (in a hole/behind a tree, above in a tree) and when the hunter walks by, club them in the head with a big branch, and game is over. head to da klub wit kash munneei grew up on a 5 acre wooded lot and would play capture the flag with friends and when we used bb guns (rolled up electrical tape pellets as ammo) it was sniper mode and sometimes took us 30-40 minutes just to find the other person, during the day! we crawled around and were given 10 minutes to hide/set up etc before game ona 12-gauge shotgun doesn't spray shot super far (200-300 yds), so all you have to do is stay away from the hunter for an hour. being a runner gives us an advantage toois the hunter a runner?

It is in a dark cornfield however there is a half moon shining with 0 clouds in the sky. You are not armed in this situation and are not allowed to fight back. You have 30 min to hide before the hunter is sent into the area. You are not allowed to bring anything in with you but you are allowed to dress yourself. We will now up the prize money to 10 million dollars? Do most people still say no?
What does 'who would you do this for a million dollars' mean?
What if i were an observer outside the box, in possesion of one million dollars to give you if you had survived. How would i know if you were alive without opening the box?

And the box was amid a dozen other boxes, and some of those boxes encased tools for survival, but others certain death.

Would you bungee jump off the CNN Tower with a 40% chance that it was not tied to the structure?

Shrodinger!
I would do it if there is a 10 million dollar bounty on the killer/s
Tracks are a lot faster now than they used to be!!!
Depends on the type of gun and how much ammo they have. If it's a minigun with infinite ammo, the hell no. Single shot rifle or musket, maybe.

Assuming this cornfield is located in the Midwest of the U.S., what month would the running man game take place? There is a huge difference between entering this competition in May/June compared to Aug/Sept.
Farah would not have much incentive to kill you, it would depend on who you are.
If you are considered an important person worldwide, yes he might try hard.
But he would be tentative and would only fire if/when he was sure he had a good chance of hitting you. He would not take any chances and would not want to totally annihilate you. He would only do enough to win, and at least your body would be intact for a funeral viewing.
If you are a scrub he would not be motivated to try very hard.
If the box was in Great Briton conditions would favor Mo and you would certainly be killed.
If the box was in a cold place you would have a much better chance against Mo.
You would have to find out his incentive. If you are a scrub and the event was not publicized you might have a chance. He might only be looking for a payday and play the game for a half hour before quitting.

How do you enforce that? How do you measure that? What motivates him to play by that rule, if he can't be forced to do it, you can't tell if he is breaking it, and he gains by not following the rule?
I would not do this. People who say they would are not really evaluating the downsides carefully.
Dig a hole in the dirt. Climb into it. Also you should read "the most dangerous game" by Richard Connell.
