i 4got the dudes name
It's Lashawn Merrit
Faster than Wariner at the same point in his career, I think. But there are a lot more guys that can run 44.9 than 44.0. Not easy to get there.

Keeping in mind that this is indoors, LM is faster than anyone ever at this point in his career, and faster than all but two people ever, any age, at any point in their careers.

I think it's faster than one person (Michael Johnson), but Johnson has run two faster times.
Not 100% sure, but I think that's right.
You're right, both runners faster than him are Michael Johnson. Pretty impressive for anyone, let alone a college freshman!
Best part about this kid is he is not the least bit cocky. He will be at practice monday and act like nothing even happened.
As a point of comparison, Wariner ran 45.39 in the Tyaon meet last year. You know where he went from there.
is lm good at the 200 as well. cuz if he was that would be friggen sweet
He's alright (understatement) - he backed up his 400m performance by going out on Saturday and breaking the WJR for the indoor 200m with a 20.40. The only question I'd raise about his performance is that, on the Tyson track, a runner in the outside lane of the 400 gets to run a huge downhill when breaking into lane 1. I think Merritt ran from lane 6, so he had a big drop into lane 1. He came through the 200 in 21.04 and then cruised the 2nd lap. Very impressive runner.
amazing performance.
lashawn is probably the best 400 runner to ever walk the earth he went 44.9 indoor and he is only 18 in 10 years who knows where he will be shit by nationals he may break the world indoor record. and did anyone see the 200 he stumbled out of the blocks and almost lost his footing arond the last turn and still ran 20.4.. I do know that once you run that fast of times it is hard to get them down at all but i think he will. And he is not cocky at all he is actually a funny guy to be around always making jokes you would nevr know he was a world class athlete..
The question is how long untill he signs with
