Commercial break as they were about to hit 3200m. Probably around 10:35 give or take 5 seconds.

There's another football field reference
"Imagine throwing THAT ball eighty yards down a football field".
leaders came thru at 10:35, so good call there. Im just happy that this race is not embarrassingly slow. The meet record is 32:28 and they hit 5k in 16:32. Figure they can kick off that pace at the end and they can probably get close to the record. I am going to predict the winner runs 32:40.
5k in 16:31 or so.

It's just a good thing Teg isn't in this race, they'd have to be careful since he "likes to nail 'em from behind."
Yes... the winner ran 10 minutes...Very Olympicesk
"We will return for the conclusion"- I call BS, that's exactly what he said during the men's 10k. I bet they get back from commercial and go right back to another break
Gonna guess around 22:20-30 with 8 laps to go as they went to commercial again.
I understand LR is trying to get folks to under stand a simple concept - these kids are fast- but he is just making it overly complex. . Nobody knows what a footballer runs the 100 yards or meters in so telling them it's 9.325 seconds is useless. Plus when is the last time any footballer ran 100 yards in a straight line in an actual football game and an announcer reported the time in seconds and hundredths?
And this is the reason most track and field watchers will pay for the live stream from countries who know what the f**k is going on. In the U S, lets watch how many steaks the U S weight lifters can eat in one sitting while the get blown away in competition.
Pack of 8 up front at 26:26 with 2k to go.

You can't make this stuff up, folks.
"Right now they are running at about a 5 minute 20 second mile pace they are striding along at."
27:47 w/ 1600 to go still a group of 8.
29:03 with 1200m to go STILL a pack of 8. Scott moves up front w/ some Iona chick.
Dom Scott breaks away with 800 to go. Race is over
Group starting to stretch a bit 30:20 w/ 800 to go and Scott heads immediately to the front and puts 20m in a hurry.
Race over Scott has 40m with 400 to go. 31:30.
Scott celebrates down the homestretch as she puts 100m on the pack within 2 laps
Scott FTW in 32:35.67
Wright of New Mexico Second
Air Force chick Third
