Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. The burden should be on Robert to prove he's running the whole way. And clearly he's not. Now that this stuff is surfacing, he will likely bail, start running legit (and miss the record), or change his route so he doesn't get caught. Don't wait for him to fess up; it'll never happen. That twat-face dane still claims he ran that 202 miles even though he slept in the RV that drove him along the course. Same thing here, only Robert is doing it 15 times in a row.

Anyone else see on his website where it claims he slept an average of 3 hours a day ("average day sleep") for a consecutive 19 months, while running more than 26 miles per day sustained over that same period?

Do they mean he napped for an average of 3 hours during the day while then sleeping for 8-10 hours at night? Or do they seriously want us to believe that he ran > 180 miles per week on 3 hours sleep for a year and a half without a break?
Because if that's the case, he both needs to get help for his insomnia and must have some rare genetic mutation that should be studied.
They mean he slept 3 hrs per 24 hour period. You can't make this stuff up. (Ha) His wikipedia page is very entertaining https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_HP_Young
I like the quote from Daniel Lieberman,"Rob is one of the most extraordinary athletes I have ever measured, and his running form is exquisite"
Also, I would like to note that if you compare him to most other elite ultra runners, he is surprisingly not-skinny. -
don't forget about dane rauschenberg will pace him through chunks of PA - I mean he knows the good spots to rv and sleep at the same time.

Does anyone else think it's strange how in detail he goes with his family history as a child? Why would you post this on your FB/wikipedia page?
"Young's father was abusive and made his life a living hell. As a young child he witnessed some terrible things. These include the sexual assault of his sister, the torture of his mother and even the killing of the family dog. Rob himself was not spared, being tortured on a daily basis."
This is a sensitive subject, but this whole story just seems way too perfect. -
I think the best bet is have someone with a bicycle just ride along with him for some meaningful distance and monitor him. Tell him, "I'm going to ride behind you for the next 100 miles." See what he says or does.

Can anyone verify any of the PRs on his Wiki page?

The rest of us are sure Terry Fox is sleeping peacefully. Especially those of us whom saw him run.

Speaking of Twitter time stamps...here is his Twitter Account:
https://twitter.com/oweingarten
Last pic shows him running with an older guy - not saying that the old guy is slow, but my bets are that he is no way in hell running sub 8:30 pace for this shot! -
I call BS on his 10K PR of 30:47
-
There is a short video of him juggling while running - what does he do while running across America? RV & CHEAT should have been the answer!
Again juggling while running I am sure he was sub 7min/mile pace while doing that as well! SERIOUSLY? -
It claims on his wikipedia page that he "represented GB (age group 20-24) winning 2004 European Long Distance triathlon Bronze Medal in Immenstadt, Germany."
Upon further research, I don't thing a european long distance triathlon even took place in germany that year.
Here is a link to results of 2004 of the european triathlon union, no such championship in germany exists. Is this accurate?

As it was an age group race and not a major international (which shouldn't count as GB representation anyway but that's a different argument) seems hard to find definite results that far back - doesn't help his credibility though. -
Here is his actual Twitter page: https://twitter.com/MarathonMan_UK
The below one I mentioned earlier is his RV Drivers. Probably tweeting when he is sleeping and while driving really slow.

As I said earlier, I can't find any evidence of any of his 90+ marathon/ultra wins anywhere. All I can see is a load of UK parkruns (5km) normally in 20 mins.
His 3.10 London marathon last year seems to check out in terms of splits and pics but a 3 hr mara and actually winning nearly 100 are very different. I'm also sure he can have a better pb than 18.55 for 5km on all that mileage too -
I tried to verify this too, because it is very odd that they don't have a reference for it on wikipedia - it should be easily to find a link to the results of an international championship competition.
As far as I can tell, there was no long-distance triathlon european championship in 2004. There WAS a 2004 long-distance triathlon world championship held in Sater, Sweden, but Robert Young is not listed in the results.
Here is a listing of events from the European Triathlon Union. You can look through a few pages to see all events listed for 2004. There is no long-distance triathlon european championship listed. There are, however, long-distance european triathlon championships listed for 2003 and 2005. Maybe a european championship was not held in 2004 because a world championship was held instead?

2003 and 2005 long-distance european championships:

2004 long-distance world championship:

Is there some other long-distance european championship? -
Just look at his body. Does he look like someone who runs sub 31 10K and wins ultra races? Those credentials put him right below the a handful of elites in ultra running.
This guy looks likes a 20 min 5K runner and that is about it. -
lol at the legal threats. Typical.

Mike Rossi can suggest a lawyer. He is on AOL, so you know he is good. -
Enjoyed the post Asher - well done. As an side, I used to race against your brother Skyler.
Hopefully this had led to closer scrutiny for the rest of the run. -
I ran to Florida and back last year!*
* I ran between 6-12M per day, and I never left my city, and I slept at home every night. ..... and I never went to Florida.
