I heard this and they played clips from the film. Obviously it was on radio but she sounded flat as an actress. I also got tired just during the short piece of the narcissistic life of a professional runner. No time to do anything else! (like make a movie)
But I get it, its hard for someone who hasn't had a real job to realize how the life of a professional runner has, well, a hell of a lot more free time than most have. Not saying its easy, but most of us don't have easy. So the wah wah is a little hard to stomach.
Hope she does well with it, but it didn't sound like something I'd be interested in.
It's a first effort.
Lot of young talents are uneven in their first efforts.
Was she has accomplished, is momentous.
Also, it's an "indie-film," so a little uneven-ness and indulgence is not out of the norm.
It is so-o hard to accomplish what she and Jeremy have accomplished at such a young age...praise the positives, take the imperfections with a grain of salt.
I hope the film becomes a classic for young runnergirls to be inspired by.
The sport has gone decades without a real movie being made about it...let alone by someone living it...
It is GREAT to see a known runner going after another dream while running too.
