Not only is (s)he more genetically male than female, (s)he is more socially male than female. Wore a tux to his wedding were he married a women. This whole thing is so over the top crazy, how did we get here?
He doesnt actually identify as female, nor does he have the female plumbing, so why exactly do we consider him female?
From the information around, Caster Semenya identifies as female and has female external genitalia. None of her family who raised her could tell she was anything other than just a little girl.
One lady wearing a tux to her wedding is a common thing that happens with lesbian couples.
One factor that makes Semenya's case so startling, is the current crop of 800m women is so weak.
Dibaba could run 1:54 for sure. We have had athletes in the past for whom 1:55/1:56 was an average time. If you compare the current 800m girls to their male counterparts, and do the same with the 400m/ 1500m/5000m you will see that the 800m is pathetic. Sub 2 minutes has become some kind of 'gold standard' for women, but it just isn't that fast.
Without any statistical analysis, think of highschool boys times. 3:50-3:55 would be pretty damn decent. 49/50 again is a solid time. 14:10-14:30 pretty good also. 2:00? Not really.
What is interesting, is Niyonsaba is rumoured to have a similar intersex condition to Semenya, but is nowhere near as powerful and only slightly better than the other girls running right now. This shows that these conditions have to be looked at on a case by case basis. Niyonsaba isn't significantly better than the other girls at all, and nothing special when you compare her to athletes all time.
Also testosterone is literally no explanation for why Semenya has such a massively muscular physique. She is much bigger than a lot of male middle distance runners. Must spend a lot of time in the gym.
