The worst American Phrase is "my bad"...the next person to say that to me is going to get a punch in the teeth...then I'll say, oh, "my bad?".

"I'll write you" - no you won't. You'll write TO me or you will write a letter.
a whole nother.
i hate that.
From society in general:
24/7
Dirty Sanchez
Little Man in the boat
nookie
nekkid
nailed - as in "The cops nailed me three times last week"
spooning
owned - as in "Ha! He owned you" - meaning he got the best of you
brother - like when people call you 'brother' when you aren't their brother.
dot com - "he worked for a 'dot com.'"
bling bling
bones - meaning money
From business:
synergies
going forward
There are more, but that's enough for now.

Is it the phrase or the concept that bothers you.
I don't (honestly) want to start a scrap ... but would you be happy with "same-sex" couples getting the same legal benefits of marriage (tax, inheritence, pension, etc.) but without the marriage label and without the participation of a Church. (ie, "Same-sex Unions" or something similar?)
I'm simply curious.
Martin
"slept like a baby"
---babies generally wake up every 3-4 hours with a shit in their pants and looking for something to eat. Not my idea of a good night's sleep.
As a new dad, that's perhaps one of the funniest things I've read in quite some time!
WHAT?!?
WHAT?!?
OKAY!
If you have ever done that, kill youself now!
'Privatized Social Security' - seems like an oxymoron
"Yo! I'd hit it!"
anything ghetto
"I could care less"
That IS workable as it's own phrase, but people use it when they really meant to say "I couldn't care less", or it doesn't matter.
Now that I think about it, why don't they just say "It doesn't matter"!?!
"Hadd Training"
I mean basically ya'know like, uh, freakin!
If there is no "opposite-sex marriage" why is there "same-sex marriage"
Its either marriage or it ain't.
And don't get me started about idioms for sex or body parts
"you know what I'm saying?"
No, no I don't know what you are saying because you've said "you know what I'm saying" 10 times in the last 60 seconds.
props, as in "give him his props"
"don't go there"
"you go girl"
