Exactly!
I bet red beard guy is "Greta Shomper" and the woman in the photos and in the TV interview is an impostor seeking to draw attention to what she did.

This is possible. My husband also cheated to get a finisher medal from Boston, and he craves the attention, no matter how negative it is. Of course, Mike is extremely under-endowed, so he has spent much of his life compensating in ridiculous ways.
Has anyone did a detail analysis of Greta's supposed BQ from Twin Cities or have the looked at her results on athlinks to verify that she didn't cheat in Minn. to get into Boston.
it's pretty standard around here for Derek.

Time for them to feel the wrath of LRC.
You're a loser. Why not post your name so people can 'attack' you instead? Oh I guess that ain't so cool, right?
I'd say having to go on living as a doughy ginger with no chin is punishment enough.

Why do you care if people used your bib to run. I get it that they didn't 'earn' Boston, but this really shouldn't affect you in any way.
You wanted attention, so you put your bib up on social media. Then someone copied that bib and now you can get more attention by faking outrage and trying to convince people to go on a witch hunt. You should be happy, they gave you even more attention and you even got a local news story about you.
Also 3:26 is hobby-jogger status get off your high horse.
How do we know that she didn't allow the guy to copy her bib. She may be in on it.

These guys crossed the finish line, took a medal they did not earn
I don't condone their actions, but I should mention that everyone who didn't place in the top three took medals they didn't earn.

I know, it sucks to be a ginger. Or have a micropenis like Mike Rossi. But these individuals cheated and deserve whatever internet justice the running community deems fit.
I'm not the one who cheated. Sounds like you were outed for cheating and are still bitter over it.

It's always been a tradition to bandit Boston. No biggie.
Well Looks like we have the case of 2 Greta Shomper's There is a Linkedin account under the name of Greta Shomper with a picture similar to the red head.
I'm more interested in the guy in the center with no bib wearing a sweatshirt and gloves. I guess the heat didn't affect him. https://www.marathonfoto.com/Catalog/List/251966670?PIN=G6X868&LastName=SHOMPER

Look like those two probably jumped in to the course along the way judging by the lack of sweat on their gray tops.
Greta, contact Derek at Marathon Investigation, he's receiving info on other bib forgers too:

It appears this fake bib number running seems to be far more rampant than earlier thought for Boston and I would now guess all the majors that have capped registrations.
It would seem to me race directors need to get together a devise a plan to protect their events.
Long tradition of this stuff at the Boston Marathon. In 2000 I qualified with a 1st corral bib #. I finagled a ride on one of the local running club's chartered bus to Hopkinton. On the way over to Hopkington was talking to some of the club members and they were amazed that I had a 'real' bib number that low. One guy even pulled out a bib in the first corral but said he probably wasn't going to use, he'd use the one he qualified with (corral 4). Amazed that they were so nonchalant about faked bibs. Remember this was fricking 2000 and their fake bibs looked perfect. Whatever.
Easy solution. Do like the ski hills.
Scan the bib at the start before entry in to corral.
Handheld scan the bib before giving a medal at the end.
Done.

Never done Boston, I assume. That would be a cluster to scan all before race. What happens when a legit one doesn't work? Do they hold up the race until it is resolved?
What's going to stop someone from just jumping on the course and bypassing the scan?
And you're going to ask volunteers to resolve issues with legit bibs that don't scan at the finish?
Not in PR are you?
So a couple of guys get a medal. What's the harm?

So you never cheated on anything in your life? If you have though, the Internet should attack you for it based on your logic.

Ya, doing a TV interview about it and asking the internet for help IDing them is just a feint. Clever.
