I took Chem 1&2 in HS. late 50s early 60s Earth Science (or Industrial Processes), Chem, Physics was the progression. New York State has a Regents Exam attached to it.
Guy i beat 3 times in hs last name Trice.
Guy who ran at Va Tech got very sick and was very thin last name Stickley. Can't make this stuff up.

A teacher friend of mine came across a cultural mispronunciation. It is She-themed, but spelt Shithead. She was warned about it ahead of the first day of class.
And if you doubt these, then think again. After 62 years, you come across some strange ones. They tend to stick in your memories.

Good catch, he must have been yanking my chain at a meet because a few of my teammates and I talked to him and he said that it was his birth name, and when I looked him up on Milesplit I figured that was enough evidence.

I tool chem in HS in the 70s. If that guy is for real, it says something scary about the education system in Oklahoma.
