I'm positive she doesn't know the extent of the relationship. I'm sure it's easy to play the amount of time they spend together as "just a long training session."
It's sad like I said. Jill is a talented runner, but his AR talk is madness.
So if you think she maybe could hit 57 minutes, that's still really strong. That's like 16:40 / 34 / 1:16 shape. Do you really think she's in that kind of shape?
I was actually thinking maybe "Jill" is a dog who is going to run the race.
Either way they are so stupid, it just makes them look bad.
I posted earlier that the Sedicum dude seems super sketch but my comment was deleted by mods. Just because he's now sponsoring the race doesn't mean he should make the Rotary Club look as dumb as him.

I actually know Jill. There's definitely been a mistake here. She's made quite some progress with her running. Not this much though. I feel bad. I reached out to her and she's believing everything her coach say. I think there might be a romantic situation involved there. She's been his project for a number of years. Jill has been very dedicated to getting to an elite level with her running. I've run with her recently and she is fit. Maybe 57 minute fit. That's about it though.
Her coach has never seen a runner of this level. He's a little lost and very overzealous about a women he is sleeping with. I hope this has a better ending than it appears to be heading to.
Your story doesn't make sense to me, because any female who is in 57 minute shape would have tested herself at some race by now. She has zero documented races ever.

How did you manage to go from:
"I think there might be a romantic situation involved there."
to
"He's a little lost and very overzealous about a women he is sleeping with."
in the same post! Later when it's pointed out that he's married, you say they JG and the coach are having long "training sessions."
I find the claims about JG more believable then some of the inconsistent responses.
As a runner I understand this doesn't make any sense. Personally, as a friend of Jill's the whole thing is really absurd and I was shocked when I saw A) her coach made a public claim about an AMERICAN RECORD!?! B) That it reached Letsrun.
As you can tell she's a very late bloomer and totally got into this for fitness purposes and linked up with a coach who got her to levels she never even considered when she started. Once it was clear she could win some money at local 5k race I mentioned she should try racing. She just didn't have any goals like that or the interest. I supposed things got to a point where her coach pushed her to race. She probably can break 17 right now, though she's been hitting the long runs and long tempos. Her strengths will definitely be in the longer races. That's why I think 57 is more likely than sub-17.
Again, I think this is a really bad misunderstanding by a coach who has never seen a runner who could break 20 and a new runner who couldn't tell you anything about the sport other than some of the workouts shes run.
I'm calling bs

That goes without saying.

I know, right? Reminds me of the early days of the Kip Litton and Mike Rossi threads. But I'm expecting a much quicker resolution here (March 5th to be exact).

Yeah this one could go platinum.
We need video footage and one or two fast guys to show up and run alongside. There's no turning back now.
I would like to add one thing to this thread - Dr. Sedicum is bisexual with well known foot fetish.

For the sake in humanity I hope they show up
and Jill Greathouse is a dog.. Really really hoping it's a dog. If not these people are deranged to keep it going after being called out days ago.

How does his wife (https://www.facebook.com/victoria.sedicum) feel about this?
Victoria, ignore all these nasty LetsRun people, they're just jealous of our husbands.
Austin and Mike come across as very similar, what with the photographic medal displays on Facebook, reflected glory, both being economical with the truth regarding race times, etc and both being chick magnets.
If you would like to reach out to me via these pages for help and support please feel free to do so.

What I can say now is that the current plan is for me to go to this race. As the date approaches, I can be more concrete with you all on what I plan on doing, but rest assured I am working with others to get to the bottom of this.
As an aside, I hope nobody is being directly accusatory or mean to either Rotary or Jill or her coach. Even if the claims are not true, it's likely that not all three of them would be "in on it" and it's really not our business to be annoying or rude at this stage. These people are people too, please remember.
Thanks Bob, we'll bear it in mind, some of us anyway.

Looks like his wife won a 10 miler with a 1:06:47. Any chances Jill ends up being slower on a tougher course?

She won't even turn up after all this, that is if she exists.
Here is a picture I took of her running today. She looks pretty fit to me.

Well its on trails and we know she does her heavy mileage on trails, so I'd say that photo is 100% legit. THAT is the definitive proof we needed.
