I lived in COS for 6 years. It's not bad as long as you live on the north end. I'm talking the area within a few miles of the Air Force Academy exit on I25. Anything south of that gets dicey. No cops though. You can speed wherever and whenever.

I prefer Monument over the Springs. Denver and Littleton are shorter drives from there. Good schools in D20 also, specifically Discovery Canyon.

Drivers in the Springs are pretty terrible though. Specifically they don't understand the on ramp is for getting up to highway speed -- not doing 50 and then trying to merge with traffic doing 65-70. There's also a roundabout near the AFA. Locals have no idea how to use those. I'm from New England so it's comical to me. Also, the northern stretch of I25 near USAA is 70 mph but no one else there seems to notice this so you get stuck in traffic on both lanes that's still driving 60 on the northern end of 25.

Chicago the most corrupt city in the worst/corrupt state in the U.S. Half of the city is a war zone full of undesirable individuals. Highest sales tax in the country with one of the highest overall tax burdens in the U.S. Cost's an arm and a leg to have fun there. But that is what happens when the state is run by left wingers who want to try to help everybody instead of doing what is right for the citizens who contribute to society. Also, a vote for Danville, IL a.ka. DVegas. It is basically a little Chicago in the middle of corn country. Used to be a great town in the 80's before manufacturing left. Didn't help when the politicians displaced individuals from those great housing projects in Chicago.

I recall someone saying in another thread that there's a major shortage of women in Seattle, something like a 5 to 1 ratio, i.e., "dude city." The poster said it was the prevelance of high-tech jobs. I know an ex-colleague of mine, a very-average looking gal, couldn't get many dates in "The Big Apple"....but after moving to Seattle she was married within a year! So maybe there's some truth to Seattle being a "dude city." Lol.

Agree that CO springs is horrible. I lived there for 8 years in the military, the bums in that town are HORRIBLE as of recent, you can go anywhere without a drugged out bum trying to scam you for some cash. Look up pictures of the tent cities that are south of Monument Valley Park in Colorado springs, tehre is an estimated 800 people who just live in the woods down there.
