We ran 16 on the first day of 2016, but the numbers were a coincidence... At least 2 folks commented to the effect of "great way to start the New Year!", so ya, I felt like a resolutioner, fo sho :-)

Only one run today? Like the other 99.99+% out there jogging?
Time for doubles and triples, grasshopper.
I never notice lots of new joggers on NYD. Where I see resolutioners is at the gym. The place is PACKED in January.

Really? You are worse than a resolutioner. You are an insecure somewhat fast runner, worried about what everyone thinks.
How about for a resolution, being your own man? Run your run for YOU not others. MAN UP!!!!!

I would've doubled, but I have a race tomorrow that I want to be fresh for, so it was just a prerace day run!

True dat. But I would also like to be distinguished from the masses of commoners. Please, are there any outfits? Maybe I should buy new shoes to look different

Eat plants
I ran on the same treadmill I have run on for the past two months. Heading to the fitness center for another hour run on the treadmill. Goal is 1,000 miles on the mill Jan-March. That's my resolution.
Nice. Idk, i feel like the dreadmill as serious runners call it is such a drag.

Haha thanks
If you're a Serious Runner, why do you care?
as a resolutioner what worrys me is that people will think im a guy who actually cares about running. I'd hate to be mixed in with that crowd

That's exactly why! I would hate to be thought of as a hobby jogger. I spent years running to get my 10k to 29:57 to feel superior to hobby joggers.
Weigh less than 200 pounds
i'm 5'8" dude, i weigh 190
Who cares what people think. you do you.
Reality is that resolutioners don't actually run on nyd. Instead, they put it off until normal life resumes a few days in. Then they get massively excited and spend lots of cash on gear and gimmicks like fit bits and post selfies on instagram with captions like #this is the year.
Then once reality dawns at the end of February that getting fit = consistent hard work, they're gone like a stack of pies at a weight loss support group.
Just be patient and normal service will resume!
