I am very impressed with the overall tone of this thread. I think the LRC readers are a bit more knowledgeable about PEDs than the average weekend NFL/ annual Super Bowl watcher. Al Jazeera did an excellent job with this documentary and what they actually reported is standing up to scrutiny. The quality of the reporting is evidenced in the quality of the discussion taking place.
It's too bad that the issue has been turned into a Payton Manning shaming / defending exercise but that is par for the course with such $$$ at stake.
I hope the Al Jazeera report along with the Will Smith movie, "Concussion", opens a few eyes of the casual fan that may not have paid much attention before. Open a few mother's eyes and tie in the issue to children and we will begin to see a real change in how we view PEDs and professional sports in general. It won't happen overnight but it will be meaningful.
The Today Show interview was laughable and as pointed out by other posters, focused on the wrong message.
