I refuse to call anyone a software engineer. Everyone in the software world calls themselves an "engineer" but what they do doesn't remotely resemble the engineering design process.

In modern programming languages it's difficult to accidentally create a memory leak. A common programming interview question for C# or Java developer jobs is to create a program with a memory leak.
Just instantiate some fonts and don't dispose them, instant leak.
